Kern Around the Clock Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers a free caregiver training and assistance program. The program provides those caring for seniors 60 years of age and older with in-home training and access to community resources and support groups at no charge. The Foundation’s goal is to help senior citizens remain living independently in their homes for as long as possible.

Kern County Aging and Adult Services offers the In-Home Support Services (IHSS) program to help seniors and people with disabilities stay in the comfort of their own homes. This can include help with activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and continence care, as well as household tasks such as laundry, cleaning and preparing meals.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
