I would never recommend this company to anyone that cares about their family. Our family never had the same caregiver twice in a row. They must not drug test these employees either. Several of the girls they sent out were high on something. Medications came up missing all the time. The owner continually making excuses for all the issues.

Dissatisfied in Bakersfield

We began using this company a few months ago. We've had bad luck with their caregivers. One was comically dumb. She left the front door unlocked, while thinking she had locked it. She didn't know how to open frozen juice cans. She used a can opener instead of pulling the plastic tab. She made mom pray at mealtime and lied to her employer, claiming that my mom requested this. The next watched tv loudly and refuse to do more than feed my mom. When I repeatedly asked for a replacement, I was told there was no one available. They raised the hourly rates without notice then sent a copy of a letter that was supposedly sent. This is a very strange business.

I used Alternative Care for a week. They were the only ones with a caregiver where my mom lived and was able to start immediately. I was grateful for that. The caregiver was a good match for her because she turned out to be her neighbor and they knew each other. She assisted her part time for around four hours a day.
