"A close friend, who is a nurse, had recommended me to call A-1 HEALTHCARE. When I first called and spoke with the Agency, there was nothing but compassion and understanding of my situation. My dad is 93 and has dementia, diabetes, and gall stones. The situations can become extremely trying for my mom and family. They placed a WONDERFUL aide who works 11 days on and then 3 days off. My mom misses her during those 3 days. Though we have another aide who is also good, my mom has come to love our primary aide because she is with us most of the time. I consider her part of the family. This aide is like a hospice aide but is really not labeled as such. She provides the support for the whole family. I feel like I can sleep a little easier at night. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Lynn & Carol. They have worked with me numerous times, thru trying situations! They are not out for your money but are truly compassionate about helping the patient and their family. Many times people hear me talk and are very impressed with my positive experiences which they have not encountered. I freely give them the name of the agency. Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation towards anyone involved with the care of my dad! THANK-YOU LYNN & CAROL AND YOUR AIDES WHO CARE FOR MY DAD!!!!!!!!...THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!!"

"Excellent Home Care Services were excellent. My brother very much liked them. Everyone that they sent was good, there was a lot of good communication, and they had done what they said what they were going to do. Excellent Home Care was there five days during the week, four hours a day. There was a nurse once a week and a PT initially two times a week. The caregivers were excellent. They worked hard; nobody was just sitting there. They cooked meals and they cleaned. They were very helpful."

"Home health aide. They don't answer the phone. The home aide did not understand English. All she did was sleep and talk on the phone. They scheduled her without asking me if that would work with my schedule, which it did not I ended up canceling my doctors appointment for what? A home health aide to sleep here for a few hours."

"My dad was a patient with diabetic wounds on his leg, and Revival was our health care attendants. We were fortunate enough to have TATIANA as his nurse. Once a schedule was established by her to twice a week visits, she was always on time, always called prior to arriving and she always had the necessary supplies. She was absolutely awesome. She was caring, had a gentle hand and an absolutely sweet, impeccable and wonderful bedside manner. If she was concerned about him, she would always call me and voice those concerns. She treated my dad like a human being and not just a "job". Revival is lucky to have her, and we were lucky enough to have her take care of my dad. So Thank you!"

"My sister has had home health aides from this agency for the last six months. She is very happy with the aides and happy with the agency. She says they take very good care of her. Her house looks very clean and my sister looks well cared for. They take her out for visits and doctor's appointments. They shop, cook, clean and tend to her personal needs. No complaints at all. "

"I went online when I was looking for a homecare for my sister. I compared the rating and what people are saying and First Care came out as the most decent one. I've used them 24 hours initially but now I have them 10 hours a day. The girls that they are sending are very professional. "

"I am compelled to express my gratitude for the swift response and exceptional service provided by Alvita Care during a critical time. After my grandfather's fall when no one was home, we urgently needed additional care to ensure his safety as he was still recovering from his stroke. On a Sunday afternoon, Alvita Care promptly answered our call and arranged for a caregiver to be with him within just two hours. Their quick action and dedication to his well-being alleviated our concerns and prevented further falls. We are immensely thankful for their responsiveness and commitment to providing exceptional care."

"I've used Metropolitan Jewish Home Care for three weeks. However, it did not helped me at all because I had to be home all the time. The aide would come in the afternoon and by that time I had everything done. There was nothing more to do because I already showered him, gave him his breakfast and his lunch, so it really was not a help. All she did was take him outside. It wasn't her fault. She was okay, but the schedule was not good. What I really needed was the physical therapy for my husband, and he received 3 or 4 physical therapy sessions and that was it. They also sent a nurse regularly to check on him. But again there was not much to do, so I don't want help anymore. The agency themselves is very good and I would still recommend them. "

"We have a caregiver that comes every day from Long Island Jewish Home Care. We have this agency when my wife is in the hospital. They are a reliable agency. I definitely will recommend them to others. I have no qualms. Everything is working out fine at this point. I approve of the service we are having. I approve of the lady that comes in. She comes on time, and the billing is good. "

"My partner stayed at Village Care after a long hospital stay for which she needed rehab. I can't say enough about the direct care staff at Village Care. The nurses were kind, caring and really kept up with all the little things that make a big difference when you are immobile. For example, my family member had some breakdown on the back of her heels and the hospital staff never noticed it, but the people at Village Care did. They would laugh and joke with my family member too, always treated her like a full human being, not just a bunch of problems. The rehab staff were so patient! They chatted with my family member to try and relax her before doing her rehab. Oh and the food was really good, surprisingly good. I think they may even have it catered. My only problem the whole stay was that there was a couple of administrative people that were very calloused in the way they handled things. I don't think they were trying to be mean but they were blunt in ways they shouldn't have been. It was interesting that the direct care staff was so patient and the people who never even had to deal with the day to day difficulties were so inpatient. Overall great experience though. "

"The hospital recommended Calvary. We did some research and decided that it would the best place for my aunt. It was the best care. This facility was really made for people who really had little time to live. You would be comfortable. There were individual rooms. They had shared bathrooms. They had very caring staff and knowledgeable doctors. It was really good end-of-life care. Also, it was associated with the hospital. They could do procedures that were impossible to do at home like blood transfusions, intravenous injections, and so on. The facility was good. They even had like an everyday entertainment program, and they tried to have all the patients out. When the weather was nice, they would go with them outside in their wheelchairs. When she was in a really bad condition, we were able to stay overnight. There were 24-hour visits. So it was really well thought through. It was a hospital setting, and for my aunt, it was very appropriate. For somebody who would like to spend more time with family and with full presence in terms of state of mind, that might not be best care. However, where patients required a lot of care, I would definitely recommend them. "

"We are currently using BrightStar to care for our friend, an elderly woman, who has moderate dementia. We began with 8 hours / day for the aides to come to the apartment, but as the dementia progressed, we have enlisted BrightStar for 24/7 care. The BrightStar aides arrive on time, are very pleasant to deal with and keep management apprised of any issues as soon as they arise. In addition, we have found that management is very responsive to our requests. BrightStar has their caregivers undergo training to understand the dementia and how to handle their charges who suffer from this insidious condition. We have been very pleased with the warmth and care that the aides have given our friend. BrightStar also has a nurse that regularly visits our friend, ensuring that her medication boxes are filled correctly and confirming that our friend's grooming and health needs are being taken care of at the highest level. We highly recommend BrightStar for any family that needs to hire a service to care for a loved one."
