My sisters and I have all noticed that my mom has done so much better having someone in the home even though it's just 3 days a week for 4 hours a day. She seems to be in a better place when she has someone there caring for her and helping her. I like that they have been very thorough. Up until this last incident, my mother has been very pleased with the level of care she is receiving and she loves her aide. Everything that my mom has needed, her needs are being met.

My 96 yo aunt is a current client. The staff, especially administration, has been very tolerant of her many idiosyncrasies & responsive to her "meltdowns." The staff has anticipated problems with her & her home & has worked hard to solve them, despite her resistance to change. I am so thankful for this professional, educated, caring organization.

I used Georgia Living Senior Home Care, but I didn't keep them because it just was not working out for us. They couldn't get the days right, they sent people at the wrong time, and then people didn't show up. They didn't seem to be organized. They were very nice, but they didn't come when they said they were coming. One of the girls who came didn't seem to know what she was doing. It wasn't the right fit for us, and all I wanted was somebody to come and give my mother a bath; that's all I needed. From the time I started with them to the time I told them I didn't need them anymore, it was about a month, so they were coming for a month. They need to be more organized. It seemed like their scheduling was their worst problem.

I can't think of anything they did not do for us. They helped my wife the most by preparing some meals for her. The cost was more than both of us could afford. We did not have the money to buy long-term healthcare years ago and now we were using the services. It was a lot of money.

Melanie took care of any miscommunications and it was fine after that. It would have been better if they had only a few caregivers instead of having a lot of different ones. Each of the new caregivers made it very confusing for my mother because she has dementia and I was constantly having to re-explain things.

It is very necessary. She is happy with it. They have helped the most by having a caregiver show up on a weekly basis, that is the same person. They have helped by having consistency with the caregiver. They need to improve their communication from the boss to the client.

The manager in the area listened to what we wanted and screened the caregivers before they showed up. We have been with several agencies, and Georgia Living At Home is by far the best company that we have been with.
