I have been a patient of BayCare Physicians for Decades. My experience with my Doctors has been awesome. However, I can only describe the BayCare HomeCare side of the organization as a bunch of used car salesmen. They hound you about reordering supplies using automated calling methods. When they finally get a hold of you they tell you that everything is covered by insurance and you don’t have to worry about the cost. When you receive a bill and call them about it they give you the runaround. When they called me to take my order for supplies in March. They told me all the CPAP supplies were covered by Insurance. I received a bill for $243.19 for these supplies. I called twice to address on the bill and was given the run around. I was told I would receive a call back after they researched the situation. I did not received a call back. I received a call from your billing department after I submitted a review through the company website. The billing department called me talked to me for 2 seconds and said all I can do is talk to the sales Department about returning the equipment. Before I had a chance to do that they sent me a collection notice.

I'm a healthcare surrogate of a client. Wound care suppose to come out twice a week. Team 6 is horrible and the supervisor does not ensure nurse is scheduled. Supplies are not ordered. Only ordered one time. I've had to go buy supplies that they are suppose to supply. Need medicine for wound and I was told by supervisor you call the doctor. What do they do?

My interactions with my nurse were great. She was great at her job when she was here and was very kind. However, there was a massive problem with communication in this company. I have not seen my nurse in 5 days, and no one communicated to me when my visits were or how long these services would be going on. This is something that should be covered from day one when working with clients who are paying you, especially when the prices are high and my visits lasted at most five minutes. I require daily care and was never told when the next time I would be seen until five days later, five days of taking my care into my own hands. My biggest problem was with the management. I had two, rather unfortunate, conversations with the nursing supervisor and she was nothing but condescending and rude. She is in the wrong industry if she wants to treat clientele as if they are idiots but still collect their money to line her pockets. I would rather work with a toddler as my nurse since that's how the supervisor behaves. I would not recommend their services unless you want to be left guessing about every detail of your care.

After my hip replacement this office Bernard contacted me immediately for scheduling immediately following my hip replacement as I did not stay overnight. DeAnn was my first in home visit. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable and nice pleasant personality. After our first visit I asked if she would stay my home health Pt/nurse This is not her area as it is a way away from her regular route from pinellas park. However she agreed to continue with me. I am so thankful that she did. Deann was great. She taught me a lot and pleasantly helped me through the pt exercise routine. My graduation from home health we walked the beach my first time in almost two years. Deann is delightful. Thank you. If you live in and around her area request her for your home health needs.

Worst home healthcare company ever. Where do I begin? My wife was released from hip surgery from bayfront hospital and baycare was contracted for aftercare. Doctor signed an order for a bedside toilet which should have been delivered before she got home from the hospital. It never showed up and we called every day after she got home and got nothing but the runaround. They made excuses and lied and said they never got the order which I have a copy of signed by the doctor. I was then told it would be delivered next day. It never showed up. After numerous phone calls and aggravation I was told it was shipped and would be there next day. Never showed up. A solid week went by and then they told me they would have a technician bring it out and hand deliver it that morning. Didn't get it until 6 pm that night a full week after her hospital release. That was the first thing. The nurses are supposed to call the day before they come and set an appt time and then call the same day to let you know they are on the way. They never did either one and they just showed up at the house and I had to turn them away because we were not prepared. I was told by the supervisor that they would call and reschedule which they never did. We finally got one nurse who actually called and showed up when she said she would but she was the only one. After that nothing but no calls and no shows. We complained about the service to numerous people to no avail. Someone from the follow up dept called us about a week later and had no idea we even had any issues. Still have not gotten an apology. Nothing but lies and coverups. The Physical Therapist did call and show up on time but he was nothing to brag about. The one nurse that did show up didn't wash her hands before changing the wound bandage after she rifled around in her dirty purse looking for bandages. I had to ask her and she said she forgot her gloves in the car. They showed up unprepared and used my bandages and hand sanitizer. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Do yourself a favor and stay far away!

Having a terrible time with this agency. My family member was discharged from the hospital on 7/26 with orders to start therapy with these people. It is now 8/8 and I still can't get someone to come out to the home. Every time we call, we get someone saying they don't have orders, they never got the fax, etc. The hospital keeps sending and still nothing. Very unprofessional.

First off their billing is awful. They bill for things that were not used. They are a preferred provider. They are not suppose to bill for more than medicare or the insurance is willing to pay. They bill the patient the difference. Also, they messed up on orders. One time we had to stay up after 11:00 at night to receive a delivery. They do not always let you know when the nurses are coming. Our experience with them was awful. They are extremely unprofessional and unorganized. The billing is a chaotic mess. We would never use them again.

DONT USE THIS HOME HEALTH CARE AGENCY! 3 Things that this home health agency lacks, patient care communication and professionalism. This will be the 1st and last time I will EVER use this agency. I don't trust a company that sends out a nurse for wound care as per doctors orders and the nurse just takes blood pressure, yet notates no infection found, but arm sling or gauze never removed. When I called the agency and spoke to the supervisor to report what I saw and I was told that the nurse should have used different verbiage when notating the chart. I was told that the nurse looked at the arm without uncovering the area and determined due to no redness there was not infection.

The home health RN called to say she was on her way - she showed up 4 hours later. She did not have any doctor's orders with her, saying she forgot to print them out that morning. My husband gave her my hospital discharge papers. She then asked about changing my knee brace, uhhh I had a hip replacement! She then tried to take my blood pressure, her machine didn't work. Then, she wanted to change my surgery incision bandage. I told her it was a special covering that was not to be removed until my doctor's appointment. She said it was supposed to be a dry open bandage and she should take it off. I refused and told her absolutely not. My doctor told me specifically not to remove it until next visit. She then spent ONE HOUR on her computer trying to find my doctor's orders. She then told me she was going to order bandages to be delivered the next day. I asked her why? She told me to have just in case. I said absolutely not - do not order bandages. I then overheard her telling my husband that she was going to go ahead and have bandages delivered the next day and that because of my pain medication I was confused. I was not confused and her attitude was not only unprofessional but insulting. She then said she was going to come back in two days. I asked her for what reason, and told her no. Does she get commission on bandages? How is she competent to work with patients who are just home from the hospital? She almost dislocated my new hip, tried to remove an expensive surgical bandage, couldn't take my blood pressure, and attempted to order me a 2 week supply of bandages that I did not need. I am fortunate my husband was with me and I was lucid. I can only wonder what happens to patients who put all their trust in their home healthcare provider. If the unprofessional and unprepared RN they sent to my house is typical of their employees I would not put my trust, healthcare or life in the hands of a Baycare home care nurse.

I chose Baycare Home Care because I believe they were top ranking. They took very good care of him. They made him feel better. He got physical therapy that made sure that everything was going properly. They were very professional, friendly, and nice. The caregivers seemed to know what they're doing. For six weeks that we used them, their services were very good and efficient.
