We're using SYNERGY HomeCare of North Leon County for my father. He needs assistance with getting dressed, bathing, and feeding. I feel like the majority of the caregivers that I've dealt with are experienced and pretty much know what to do. Communication with the agency is very good. Scheduling is very good. Any time that I have a change, they're very flexible in making the change and working with them. I try to get with them in time, but there have been a couple of times where I was in a pinch and they were able to come through for me. Whenever I call there, there's always a person that answers the phone and that to me is important. The higher-ups or the people that run the service call periodically just to check and make sure that everything's going well and that you're satisfied with their service. They have very good customer service.

We used Synergy HomeCare of North Leon County once a year ago. Jill came out and did the assessment. She was very, very friendly. However, the match that she gave us the night that we needed someone was a lady that was scared of dogs and we had a dog. They should have done more to make sure that they let the sitter know that we had a dog, but she came in and was not comfortable with that. She was new and she did not know what to do. Mom was feeling like she needed to entertain this person and instead, she was supposed to be there to assist her and she was kind of taking direction from my mom. She was again just new so she didn't know, but I think they should have had a better fit for mom to come in. It was very expensive for us. I realized the going rate was like $30 an hour. So, it was quite expensive just for those 2 hours for her to just sit there and watch TV with my mom.
