I am in Doctor’s Choice now, and they have people come in here and check in with me because I can’t walk at all. I had polio when I was 10 months, and I am totally confined to a wheelchair. I was on hospice so they took me out, and they are nice, but there’s no out there, and I don’t mean this is an insult. I need help, but I don’t need the kind of help that I have been getting. I need a place where I can get a good bath, and I don’t just need sponge bath where you lay in the bed and get stuff on you; you need more than a sponge bath. I need somebody to clean the house. I don’t need fair meals; I have always cooked. I know they don’t do that, but I really need round a clock somebody here with me, and I just can’t afford that. I don’t need help with medication -- not yet anyway -- and I hope I don’t, but I do need help with bathing and sometimes dressing because I have osteoporosis really bad, and I need somebody to clean up. It would take more than one person, and I know they don’t have two people, but I have to have a better way of taking a bath for the simple reason I have no use of my feet and legs. I don’t know how in the world that they could catch me to keep me from falling; I just can't think of how it would be done. They said they can, but I don’t think they can. I can’t take that chance. I was here before, and when people came everyday, they were really good. When I hurt my leg at one time, they were great; it was a different thing before. If a person searching for somebody would be like myself, I would say no to this home care for now. And it wouldn’t be because I’m not good; it was because they wouldn’t fit what people need.
