Please NEVER use Kindred Hospice Orlando. We have had 2 horrible experiences in the last 10 mo. They are not there for the patients. Mom was in hospice for the last month, however hospice did not visit for the last two weeks. The nurse said she had to be COVID tested before she could return. 13 days later she got her COVID results and returned today. I asked why another nurse could not come during that time and was told they did not have any nurses that were COVID tested? So instead of Hospice visits they made a few phone calls for almost 2 weeks and those were considered Hospice visits? Hospice care = tele-health??? FYI- they never spoke to Mom just the CNA on duty at that time. Today was her first in person visit in 2 weeks and we received a called to let us know that Mom was is in her final stage. Now, I know we are in unprecedented times and we should all be understanding, however, one would think that she would have stayed with Mom and the family during her final hours. No, she did not, she left and did not return until we called and complained. I could go on about the awful experience however, bottom line they do not deserve to care for anyone. Stay away from Kindred Hospice Orlando.
