Halifax is not as nice as the hospice my dad is in now. Everything looked clean. There was a lack of communication with the social worker and staff, and we got patient information mixed up. I received patient information that I had to sign, and it turned out it wasn't my dad's but somebody else's. They're not very organized, so I don't really care for them. My dad moved in the first week of April.

Halifax was brand new with spacious rooms. They actually have volunteers that come in and sit with my sister even though she was non-responsive. I thought that was a caring thing to do. She was there for six days before she died. They made her very comfortable.

My parents needed hospice care so we got Halifax. Most of the nurses are very compassionate, caring, and right on top of things. They were a good match for my parents.
