We used Treasure Coast Hospice-Fort Pierce for two or three weeks. We loved them. They're great. They were responsive and helpful. You call, and they bring in the equipment that you need, like the oxygen and it's there usually that afternoon. They worked with us on my father's medications and they worked with the nursing staff. They were great. You call them when you need them and they come and send the nurse around and do the initial assessments. The nurse came every couple of days. My father wasn't physically ill enough to go to the hospice facility which is why we had to bring hospice in. So, they came to us. You can call them day or night. They got a doctor that the nurse can call to double-check anything or change meds.They're knowledgeable and very good at what they do, which is end-of-life. They offer support to the whole family, not just the patient. They've called me a few times afterward to see if I needed grief counseling and all that. So, they're good.
