Mom came to live with us when her Parkinson's worsened. For a while she was fine on her own, but recently we realized that she needed someone who could take care of her while we're at work. I started calling around different home care agencies and finally settled on Synergy Homecare of Wethersfield. We are so glad we did! The owner personally came to our home to meet us and created a care plan for mom. Since the caregiver has been around, mom's quality of life has dramatically improved. Mom's caregiver always shows up right on time, so we can go to work and know she is in good hands. She helps with all the morning routines like brushing teeth, showering, grooming and getting dressed. Then they chat, watch movies, or play card games. The caregiver encourages mom to try and do things on her own, but she is always there to help. At lunch she makes a healthy meal and then, as we requested, she cleans up around the house when mom takes a nap. When we come home around 5 I often see them talking and laughing like old friends, it's so sweet! Mom lights up with smiles every morning when the doorbell rings. We are planning on going on vacation for a week in June and are planning to use Synergy's 24/7 care option during that time. Synergy also has transportation services, so we know she will be able to take mom to any doctor's appointments, go grocery shopping, or even just go to the park to get out of the house. We never knew how much better all of our lives would be after calling Synergy Homecare, but now we can't imagine a life without their help. Thank you SO MUCH Synergy Homecare of Wethersfield!
