Seniors Helping Seniors in Southwest Connecticut

I have Seniors Helping Seniors Southeastern CT coming in twice a week. They are helping my wife with pretty much everything except medicine. They will help with toileting, make and serve meals, and provide companionship. That's pretty much the day-to-day routine to help her with showers and things like that. The care she is receiving is excellent, so far. The aides we have are all our age, so it's a great connection because their childhoods are our childhood, too. It's a good fix, as opposed to if some young people come in and don't realize the things we've seen. A couple of the people they've sent over are actually neighbors from a mile away and people from our community. They also have well over a hundred people available who are working for them, so they have a big pool to draw from. I recently had to schedule something for tomorrow because I had a doctor's appointment come in. I've been waiting on a reserve list, and they just popped up. At short notice, I contacted the agency, and they have somebody to come.

We used Senior Helpers in Southwest Connecticut for just two weeks. We only needed somebody to help bathe my son because he could not get into the tub or a shower. So, he was getting just a sponge bath. That's all because he feeds himself, I cook, and I do everything. I didn't need any help with housework or shopping or anything like that. I just needed somebody to give him a sponge bath, and they were very good. I just got billed after two weeks. The scheduling was fine. I would recommend them. The person I had was on time. She helped me as much as I needed help. I just got her for three hours, which was more than enough, because what I just needed was somebody for one hour.
