I was able to hire a caregiver from CareLinx. So far, it's good. I'm very happy with the services and I got them for a good per hour rate. The person is nice. Whenever I call, they always answer my questions promptly. I haven't had any problems. I pay them every week.

We have someone coming in from Carelinx, and we have been very happy with them. As my dad is doing much better, she is mostly taking care of mom. She does cook for both of them, but most of the personal care is for my mom. We have a very positive experience, and we have been very pleased. The caregiver is responsive and very responsible. She gets here on time. She is a self-starter. She sees what needs to be done and does it rather than waits to be instructed. She is friendly and caring. We are very happy with her. She gets mom ready for her nap and for bed. She makes sure that she doesn’t have any new skin tears. She puts warm packs on her if her arthritis is bothering her somewhere. She takes care of her linens and her dirty clothes. She vacuums her room, makes her dinner, and cleans up after her dinner. She assists mom with anything that she wants to do while she is here.

I am so disgusted with the healthcare system for the elderly, until I found CareLinx. They were fabulous. I have never seen anything like it in the healthcare industry. It was being run by a gentleman who went into the same thing that I did. So he absolutely knew what my experience was, and he knew exactly what was necessary. He set-up a website for people seeking caregiving to guide you with the process, what do you need to ask, hiring and interviewing, insurance issues, and theft issues. They don't get involved in the hiring but they insure and bond the caregivers, and do background checks. Or they will do the entire thing for you. I found a girl who turned out to be exactly what we needed. My mom and dad fell in love with her. She became part of the family. She was wonderful and conscientious. It was the first time in five years that I could take a weekend off, and we could only afford her on a weekend. My mom was in her end stage of Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, she tripped and hit her head on end table and without any symptoms, all of a sudden she just plummeted downhill. She lost all the motor skills, her swallow reflex, developed wild neurological symptoms because she had a subdural hematoma. But the caregiver did everything possible within her ability to help. They were such a remarkable contrast to every other agency I had connected with.
