Right now I am happy, but we had a problem with one of the caregivers previously. I got very upset because I couldn't get her to stop talking, and I got in trouble for that. The caregiver we have now, worked with us to get her. She was temporary, but the client and caregiver really bonded.

They matched caregivers with my dad and his wife perfectly. And the caregivers were wonderful-always thinking about what was best for my dad and his wife and providing compassionate care. Brightstar and it’s caregivers are five-stars!

Some, were more attentive and helpful around the house. Some just hung out and didn't do much. There were some that were exceptional and some that were average. BrightStar could train consistency on what to do when you are there and how to be more helpful.

Provide caregivers on the day I ask them to come. A lot of it has to do with the attitude of the caregivers - they are very laid back, so it's very difficult to deal with them. I think that in the short time we were with them we had 3 different care managers, so you have to re-explain what the situation is. I never got to get to know the first two, only the third one, and she was too laid back, she didn't care. It was just a job to her. I rely on caregivers. They need to change some of their rules and care about the client, not as much as the caregiver. They should care about their clients and care about the caregivers more.

If I don't say feed the guy, he will end up starving.

I felt that in the intake interview, the person who interviewed me was extremely thorough and understanding of my aunt's needs. Ahe was also concerned about my needs, which was surprising and nice. The intake was rapid and easy.

We had a rough start in the beginning, as they came early and weren't willing to wait. My mother arrived on time, but since they didn't wait, they had already left. Another time, no one showed up. I understand that she was terminated, but we didn't receive anyone that day. They just said they would send someone out the next time they were scheduled to. They started charging by the minute instead of by the hour, so caregivers would make their own hours. They would come early and leave late, and we would get billed for it.
