Their Director iniitally contacted my mother when she was in the hospital. My wife had then met with her. Everything seemed really organized and their approach was good so we chose them. We hired them mid February of this year. We had a number of caregivers from them. About half of them were outstanding and the other half were good. We only had one person whom we had a problem with and All Seasons took care of it immediately. We're pretty satisfied with the caregivers that they've provided at this point. They're good in helping my mom with household chores and help her out with few things. My mom is still able to get herself up and dress. She's a very private person but there's a couple of caregivers that she is very comfortable with and I think she's ok with everybody overall.

First of all I am familiar with most of the care facilities and agencies here. I have worked in this area as a volunteer for so many years. I happened to be in a hospital and I knew that I needed help. The marketing agent of All Seasons Homecare came by and I liked her. She told who the actual Director was and whom I was familiar with. When I was checking out from the hospital, they said I couldn't come home unless I had someone there immediately to help. So I called All Seasons and someone was here at home probably half an hour from the time that I got home. Someone who was already ready to work. She started right away and worked on cleaning up and washing since my house was a mess after being gone for 3 weeks with my husband at home. It's been about 2 years since I hired them and I am very happy with the caregivers. There was one or two that I felt maybe a bit young and didn't quite fit in with the job. My husband is older and he wanted a man to begin with and we had a man and he didn't like him. It was my husband's preference. It was not anything to do with the agency. He didn't like this, he didn't like that. He didn't like caregivers the whole nine yards. So we ended up with the caregiver that we have now. We both like her. She did a wonderful job. She's my angel and my primary right hand lady. We eventually found a good match in her. My husband cannot walk by himself so they assist him with that. She assists him in the bathroom and showers him the morning. She's attached to him and that's how we got to do it. Otherwise, he falls. So all of the caregivers now, do not leave him even for a minute. They do pretty much everything for him. He tries as much as he can but he is not able to speak very well. He cannot write. He can walk with assistance and it's important for him to have walking exercises as possible. All the ones that I have now are really good match actually for my husband. All Seasons is very willing to change right away. Not a week later but right away. When I have a question or if I'm hesitant over a caregiver, I just make a phone call and someone else is there.

I think they are quite good. The caregivers we got were not medical professional, but they provide in-home care. The quality of individuals who comes at home vary, because they are different individuals. They are generally pretty good and pretty reliable. The people at the All Seasons offices are quite good. They try to be flexible and helpful. If one of their caregivers is sick, they would find another. They also take calls off hours. If you would call on a Sunday, probably someone will pick it up some time and will give you a call back before Monday morning. When you're planning a change or something or a day off you can call them off hours as well. So I really can say they're quite good. I was initially provided a list. I can't remember if it was the hospital that my mother visited or one of the state social services agencies. They provided a multitude of different offices. A social worker told me that it's best not to just hire someone off the street privately. I was interested in finding an agency that provides just basic home care. Non-medicals are trying to keep the rates astronomical. One of the things I considered was the size of the organization. They come in different structures. Some of them I think just kind of organized the effort, but the people are not employees of the agency. All Seasons is more structured and larger, so I felt more confident that they could keep someone there and deal with changes whatsoever. They could also provide few hours. Presently, I'm only doing 12 hours a week then you could change it whenever you want, as more as you want, or down to the minimum. They're pretty flexible.
