Hannah does my laundry for me, which is close to impossible for me since I use a walker and the washer is at the end of the hallway. She does my grocery shopping, which I also can't do. Those two things make my life so much easier. They come on time and do a good job. They are very friendly.

When someone from the agency first came out, she made a list of things that the caregivers could do. One of the caregivers has been very good with my daily exercises to help me keep my sense of balance.

They have a lot of turnover. It is extreme. I don't think it is acceptable for people to not be available to come out. The purpose is to make sure my father has care. It provides as normal of a life as we can have. It allows my dad to go places when he would like to.

Home Care Assistance has a lack of responsive communication. It is hard to understanding scheduling. When I make inquiries, there is a delayed response. Home Care Assistance needs more skills and training. Each worker needs help learning how to care for me. The training should already be there.

I had some good caregivers from Home Care Assistance, and for the most part they would meet me where I asked them to, but I wasn't sure when they would be showing up. I would have to ask them to do things, and they wouldn't always help. They were more used to taking care of older people with much simpler needs than mine. Home Care Assistance could have really taken an interest in myself, my likes, interests, and needs.
