My mom was at Crista Shores - A Crista Senior Living Community. It was very nice and the good part about it is that it is a Christian-based facility and many people from her church retired there. It was very familiar and very comfortable. It had a five-star rating all the way through. It was beautiful; it's out on the water. It's right in the heart of town. If you were able to get around a walk, you could walk to almost any store, restaurant, or anything. It was a beautiful place. It was nice. They had a lot of activities. They have church services there. They had a lot of games, but my mom didn't get involved with a lot of the games, and she really wasn't a game player, but she just loves to socialize and talk. There was a lot of that knowing she had friends upstairs and downstairs. The food was like a five-star restaurant because you had your choices and then they were bringing them to you during COVID. The price was less than what she's paying now for an apartment. It was only $3500 there, but that's Washington, and we're in California, so it is to be expected. I ate there a few times, and it was very good. She was only there for four years, and then her memory started declining. They needed to have her placed into assisted living, but she didn't want to be in assisted living.

The location of Crista Shores is gorgeous, being right on the waterfront. The grounds are nice for mobile people. They have a very nice staff. It's a very clean facility. The structure of the building is also conducive, for those who are mobile, to walk around and get around. They have nice wide hallways.

I toured the Crista Shores Campus. What I like best is it's on the water. It has a nice view of the water and a view of the Olympic Mountains. They have nice windows and balconies. The food was good. They have a library, a shop, and a chapel. They have a dining room. They don't have a pool, but they do have a sauna.

Crista Shores seemed to have plenty of help and they were able to answer all my questions. The person that gave me the tour was very helpful. She knew the area quite well, and she knew the industry quite well. They had a list of the different things they did and seemed to offer a good array of different activities.

Crista Shores was a very pleasant place. I'm not ready to move there yet, but I was really happy to find out about it. The views were amazing. The people all looked happy there. The staff was very friendly, and thorough, and took a true interest in me. The facility is adjacent to trails and walking spaces and close to shopping, but there were no dedicated spaces per se for crafts or for people to pursue individual interests. The place seemed very clean and people were working hard to keep it well-kept. The gardens were beautiful.

Crista Shores didn't appeal to us. The apartments were very nice, but they only served one meal a day and the main meal was at night. So, you would have to go out to the grocery store and get stuff for breakfast and lunch. The lady who was conducting the tour was nice but she said, "You ought to know that we don't hire anybody, but Christians." I am a Christian myself and that policy turned me off. They showed us two-bedroom and three two-bedroom units. All of them faced the water, but it was at the head of the bay, so it was kind of muddy. Still, it was very nice. It was very well maintained, clean, and kind of individualistic in a way. People decorated their hallways. I know some people who have been there who thought it was just great, too. It just had a cold feel to us.

We really liked Crista Shores. The facility is in a beautiful location. All the apartments faced one form of water or another. The grounds are very nicely maintained. We met a few residents who were very complimentary about the place. We saw one apartment. The 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom apartments are a good size relative to the size of places that we have visited elsewhere; a little larger and naturally equipped. With the activities that they offer, the schedule, and the things that go on, it looks like a very active community for both the residents themselves as well as the staff that are there.

My mother-in-law is at Crista Shores for many years now. The place is beautiful. It looks out to an ocean right from her apartment. It’s really a wonderful place. The staff is very polite and very helpful as well.

I have visited Crista Shores several times. I have a friend living there, and it is quite nice. She speaks highly of the food and of the staff. I think the rooms are a little small. I like it. The staff seems very capable and friendly.

I visited Crista Shores, and the staff was wonderful, showed me everything, and gave me a lot of information. The rooms were very nice, and I liked them very much. The staff took us to lunch, the food was excellent, and there was a very pleasant dining room. They have the usual activities and tours. Security and safety are very good.
