"My mom will move into Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg. It was only 66 apartments, so a smaller one for my mom is better. The studio apartment that we're going to get for my mom was nice. It's a nice size for my mother, very clean, and the employees were very friendly. They have a movie room, gym, library, and a place where they can get their hair cut."

"Jubilation by Silver Companies was nice. I have nothing negative to say about it, but it's way out of my budget. It's a beautiful place. They have lots of things going on and lots of opportunities to do things there. Most of the staff were nice, and I talked to the residents who had lived there. If you can afford it, it's a wonderful place to be and you would be very happy there. The food was delicious. They had a lunch there for perspective people, and I think trying to rate it on a visitor's lunch is not a fair evaluation. I didn't check the rooms, but the common areas are very nice."

"I just visited Harmony at Falls Run yesterday. The price is lower. Virginia, who was the person giving the tour, did a great job. I wanted to see one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. I like the levels, like independent living and assisted living, and the benefits of using other assistance as I needed it. It's very comparable to the other place as far as square footage. They're nice apartments. I'm very satisfied with the tour. Another plus is that there are residents there that came to Falls Run, so it wouldn't be like I would be moving to a place where I wouldn't know anybody. Several residents are already living over there."

"We have been at Verena at the Glen six months and are very pleased that we made this choice. The first thing that springs to mind in describing our experience is “friendliness” – the staff are uniformly very friendly and accommodating; that is reflected in the 120 or so residents. Obviously, that makes for a very pleasant environment. We find our apartment comfortable with sufficient space. We appreciate having the small balcony that we do. Other advantages are a full kitchen and washers and dryers in each unit. We always find convenient parking even without the $50-a-month expense of a reserved space. In short order we became accustomed to the provision of breakfast and a copious lunch but no dinner; there always is enough left over from lunch to meet our evening meal needs. The food is quite good, with a variety of selections, and the staff are always helpful. Available activities are manifold and often imaginative. No resident could legitimately complain of having nothing to do; the dilemma, if there is one, is what fun thing(s) should we join today."

"I toured Marian Manor of Stafford. The thing I liked best was the staff's participation in the lives of the patients. They have a huge living room where people sit around and chat with each other. The facility is fine, lovely, and clean. They showed the dining area. On the first floor, I saw a couple of rooms to get an idea of what size and furniture restrictions and all."

"We visited Elizabeth House, and we liked it. The room was a good size. It was nice and clean. We couldn't look around too much because they wouldn't let us go where the other people were because of COVID. We could only look at the one room."

"Sancerre Atlee Station is brand new. It's within three miles from our daughter's home and also about three miles from a local medical facility hospital in the area. We liked the apartments that were available. We liked the size, what they looked like, and all that. The staff was very informative and answered our questions. The facility was very clean."

"I toured Harmony at Hanover. The people were very nice. They cared about the people that they were taking care of. It was really clean. I was surprised it smelled like home. It was beautiful. I liked it. They let me see everything in the manager's office. They even showed me the part that was remodeled. The people there seemed to be happy. I loved the way it looked and how welcoming the workers were when you got there. They didn't know I was coming, and this is surprising. It was nice. Some people have a one-bedroom. Some people got a two-bedroom, and I think it was only one person who has a studio apartment. They had a bookshelf with books and games on it for the people to use, and it has a little garden there at the back."

"We chose The Harmony Collection at Hanover for my parents because they have both independent living and assisted living. We are also very pleased with the staff and the apartment they moved into. It just seemed like a good fit. Luckily, up until this point, they've been very happy. They are there under independent living care. The place is large, very spacious, and probably the nicest apartment of all the ones we had the chance to look at. One meal a day is included. My parents usually have dinner, and they're very happy with the food. I have tried it, too, and it was very good. They have activities daily, and my mother has been able to partake in some of those activities. My father doesn't have quite the ability, but he has participated as well. They have happy hours twice a week, and they have additional celebrations. They're having a formal celebration this evening, where they're all dressed in formal attire. It's been very good and very pleasing."

"The staff at Essex House was very nice. The rooms were very nice. They had a small studio and a large studio. They showed me the dining room and the two rooms. It's not a big facility. It's just mostly rooms, and then there's a common room where they eat. They have a piano, and they do different things there. It was like a motel. They have a courtyard, but they don't have a beauty salon. It's been there a while, and it's one of the favorite ones in the area."

"My mom has moved into Commonwealth Senior Living at the West End. The day we moved in, they were wonderful. They helped me with everything. I could not have been more pleased. They have a salon, and they give you towels. They supply a lot of things. They have music and they have different programs. My mom will be 101 in December, so she's not doing a lot of activities, but they do have a lot to offer. My mom says the food is very good. The building is very well taken care of. The staff members have all been wonderful. Regarding activities, they have a lot of bingo and cards. I have seen residents out doing activities and they seem to be having a good time. Overall, we're very, very happy where my mom is at now."

"I chose Bowling Green Rehabilitation because it was the only center that offered orthopedic physical therapy seven days a week. I was recovering from a replaced knee and I live alone. I wanted secure help and therapy, After the first weekend it was wonderful! The schedule was given everyday, meals were nutritious and flavorful, the staff worked very hard to make you comfortable. Every time you asked they were there. I also saw a top level of friendly interaction with all the other patients there. There were classes on health related issues, crafts, bingo, music, chats and many more. Many people participated. I have already praised and recommended this facility to my friends and whenever someone asks."

"I like the cleanliness at Cardinal Village, the responsiveness, and the cordial greeting of the entire staff there. I also like the information that was provided and the attitude that the staff we're working with. They look like a fairly new facility. They look and smell cleaner than the other place I toured. Their rooms looked clean and well-maintained, and the staff was professional. They have an activities area."
