My friend and I come in during the end of the day and the staff seem very pleasant and friendly. My friends relative have never had a problem with unanswered calls. I have seen issues with some other residents over use the call button making it hard for the assistants to answer my friends calls but they have always been professional and compassionate about their job.

Several department managers have recently been hired and resident services have decreased ever since. Donut Sundays have been eliminated. Thursday Happy Hours have been eliminated. Christmas stockings on the doors have been eliminated. Previously the daily menus included two entree and two vegetable options for each meal. Menus now have only one entree and one vegetable choice. These new managers are never seen on the floors or interact with residents because they hide in their officers. The amenities are slowly being taken away. Too bad.

If you are okay with your family member being put in a room and ignored, by all means, this facility is perfect. Slowly they will be stripped of even the simple dignity of using the bathroom, because their call lights will not be answered, leaving them to fend for themselves (setting themselves in some cases as they try to get up to make it to the facilities). Aides can not be found when visiting, it the parking lot is always full...does anybody really do work here?

I feel like he is happy there, having just gone through a knee replacement surgery, the staff there is very kind and understanding. They did not have an adequate lift-back chair, so we had one brought in which they very quickly accommodated to. The food there is above average for a medical facility, but we all still go out to lunch rather than eat there, as it gets us all out and we can go eat some real food. Overall though the facility is nice, they have a small but private patio and gazebo set up for the residents, and the nurses are always happy to get people outside that are able. 100 I have been there throughout the day, and visited later in the evening, all shifts seems to be very positive and happy to help the residents, they strive to make sure everything is okay, and that even visitors and guests find accommodations to their liking. If you need someone taken care of in a good environment that doesn't stop at the doors, The Pines is a good place to trust.
