"Lakeridge Nursing and Rehabilitation is an old facility, but it's still very well cared for. The size is something that I liked. It's not an overly large community and the people are genuine and caring. Their room is being shared for two people. It is open, has two closets for both, a shared bathroom, and then dividing curtains between them. They also have an outdoor courtyard area that some residents can go out to, weather permitting. They have a dining area that's pleasant looking and an area up in the front where the residents were down there being entertained with some music."

"I have put my parents at SouthHaven Assisted Living, and it’s wonderful. My parents are very close to the staff; any need we have, they take care of it. Mother needed a lot of care at first, but she is doing much better now. They help with toileting, brief changes, and bathing. They do housekeeping once a week, and Mother gets her hair done."

"I have both friends and relatives staying at Heritage Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I don't I have anything negative to say about them. They provide rehab help as well as an option for long-term living. In both cases, everyone is well cared for. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The facility is clean. There is a community that is beneficial to those living there. They have activities. They were having holiday parties."

"The Noble Home is an assisted living facility in the Lubbock region that we visited as an option for our aunt. The exterior looked well maintained and there was plenty of outdoor seating for residents, friends and family to enjoy. The main rooms were all designed well, comfortable and homey. The residents could be seen enjoying a variety of activities, from reading to socializing or enjoying a game or a movie. The dining room was quaint and comfortable, with nice furnishing and nice lighting. The foods offered looked healthy and delicious, from a nutritious and varied menu. The residents may also order special meals as they desire. The exercise room had all of the typical options, plus a trainer comes weekly for varied and special classes. The library was well stocked and comfortable. The residents are taken to many interesting gathering and events around the area, such as concerts, shows, art galleries and other places. The staff at this facility are very kind and attentive to all of the residents and appear to easily adapt to all of their needs. "

"I moved into the Residence at Wolfforth. They don't maintain the common areas. They don't clean. They don't have somebody clean the common areas. It's a nice-sized room: the kitchen, the living room, the bedroom, and the bathroom. There's a shower, a washer, and a dryer right across from each other. So, it's all in one apartment. The washer and dryer come with the apartment and all the kitchen appliances. They provide the water. You pay for the electricity, and get your own internet and everything. It's a comfortable apartment. I'm happy with the apartment. It's just that I wish they would have some maintenance come in and mop the floors, and do things like that. All they have right now is a staffing agent, and they expect her to clean, but she's too busy being a staffing agent to do the cleaning. I really like her. She's a good person, but they're expecting too much out of her. A maintenance crew comes in every once in a while, when something goes wrong, as far as cleaning goes."

"Verified five star facility with an excellent staff. They hold several different fun events throughout the year for residents/family/friends which I have personally attended. The staff and administrator are highly involved and attentive to the residents and their families. It is obvious this is an established, well-run, experienced facility that is dedicated to serving their residents. I highly recommend this facility. "

"Angel's Arms Assisted Living facility in Lubbock was on our list to check out for our aunt. We liked the quaintness of it and that it is smaller than others we've seen. The owner is a Registered Nurse - whom we met and really liked. The main room as very nice and homey. The main sitting and living rooms were well designed and had nice furnishings. We saw seniors on the back porch enjoying themselves. Our aunt would really like to tend the lovely garden. The furnished rooms offered single or double occupancy and are nicely decorated, airy, fresh and bright. They all have adequate space for privacy. The chef prepared home style and nutritious foods and they offer an extensive and varied menu. The snacks are offered any time the residents desire them. They encourage all of the residence to participate in physical activities such as walks, and daily exercise. They also plan a variety of these types of activities daily and weekly. They host a weekly music hour with live musicians, show movies, conduct crafting, bake cookies and more. The game room features bingo, card tournaments, dominoes, and sewing projects. It was clear that the staff her really knows what they are doing --all are medically trained with a lot of experience. They all care deeply about the welfare of the residents and handle them with care, courtesy and kindness. "

"The care is second to none. Fancy buildings with crappy care do not impress me. You can feel the love when you walk in the building. Everyone is treated like family. The building is old, but the love is renewed every day. The residents feel at home, the food is good and the nurses are exceptional. The staff always notify you if something is going on or condition of family changes."

"We went to see The Phoenix House in Lubbock while we were there scouting out assisted living facilities for our aunt. It looked well tended from the exterior. The interior rooms are all lovely -- from the foyer sitting room to the community and activity rooms. All were designed with senior access in mind. They have many events and socials scheduled, as well. The residents are treated to many invigorating and stimulating outings in and around the area. The dining areas feature nice furnishings and great looking and smelling home-style food that the chef cooks in a healthful way, matching any dietary need necessary. Residents may place special requests at any time. The snacks are available continuously. They also encourage guests to visit as much as they like. Many people from the community come to entertain and socialize with residents regularly. They provide individualized service plans for each resident, including exercise, and assistance with ambulation and personal care as necessary. It was clear that they keep the residents in mind first and foremost. This is a nice facility with well-cared for resident and a caring, kind and dedicated staff. "

"Golden Top has been a very good fit for our loved one and our whole family. We had several referrals for Golden Top in the beginning of our search and have been with Golden Top for 3 years. Golden Top doesn't just take care of your loved one, they also always welcome all the family with any questions, or concerns. "I have already settled in Raider Ranch, and I've been here almost a year. My overall experience has been very good. I have an apartment, and it is beautiful. The staff is very caring. They serve our food, but I can cook if I want to. We have recreational activities everyday like strength and balance, water volleyball, movies, and wifi bowling; they got a lot of stuff. "

"My husband has been a resident at Bender Terrace Memory Care for the past four months. He is in a small private room. He is taken very well care of. The nurses and aids as well as all the office staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facility is very old and nothing fancy, but it is clean. My husband is always clean, his hair looks nice, his beard is trimmed, and he is in clean clothes every time I go see him. He is very content there."
