"We chose Someroak Senior Living for my mother. We've visited a couple of others, but the prices and the care in this one just fit. It was clean and well-kept, and there were no deceptions about the prices. It was very clear with regard to the cost of the apartments, and very clear about the levels of care. It was $200 for each level, whereas in another place, it was $600 for each level. The staff members were accessible, they were engaged with the residents. The space in the facility was well-kept, and the rooms were arranged well, we were impressed with that. They had one 1-bedrooms with screened-in porches, which is nice for my mother who likes the outdoors."

"Given Hands is awesome. My dad is just a little bit too much to handle, but the lady who takes care of him, who is a nurse, is very good. She explained everything well. She tells you exactly what she does, when they eat, and she keeps him on a schedule. She has her rules that they're supposed to follow. She is awesome. I like her. Dad's been eating stuff that he has never eaten before. The place is clean. She has a small exercise room for any residents who need to exercise. She cooks out for them outside if they want to have it. I like the place. No bad smells. They are one of the best places I've seen in a while. She works with people with their financial situations, too. I know that much because she has worked with us. My dad doesn't have that much money coming in every month like some of her other residents."

"The staff takes great care of my uncle compared to other facilities he has been in. He is always clean and well taken care of. The staff is very helpful and address all concerns promptly. They go on field trips."

"I've been a resident of The Atrium and Cottages at Lutheran Village. It's great that the people are very friendly. You've got access to dinner five nights a week, Monday through Friday, and that's included in the agreement. The maintenance staff is great. You don't have to fix any machines. All the maintenance was taken care of, including the washer, refrigerator, and grass. Utilities are rolled in, you don't have to worry about those bills. It's a triangular building and inside it's an atrium with palm trees and bromeliads and a little water feature. They bring in entertainment for special events. They have church services, movies, and exercise. They have one-bedrooms, a small two-bedroom, and a large two-bedroom. They have balconies. We're on the first floor, so we have a patio. Value-wise, you can't beat it. The food, it's not a five-star restaurant, but they cook and serve it. They will deliver it to your condo if you don't want to go down to the restaurant area."

"I'm already living in an independent community called Lutheran Village. It is a village where people live by themselves, or husband and wife live together. We have five floors and there are probably 20 to 25 apartments on each floor. It is perfect. It's excellent. The grounds are gated. They are locked at 5:00 at night. You do not get in unless you have a clicker to get into the grounds or the building. You have an elevator that you go up to your apartment. I live on the third floor and I'm in a one-bedroom. The apartments are very nice and very well-kept. They have a cleaning service twice a month that comes in and cleans. We have a dining area down on the bottom floor where you can eat five days a week if you choose to. Your utilities, your cable, and your maintenance are included in your HOA, and it's nice. We have games and activities. There's always something going on. We have a van that takes you to and from grocery stores and shopping malls. It's a wonderful place. The staff is wonderful. They're caring, loving, and very attentive to your needs. The food is good."

"The staff at Elite Personal care-home are truly amazing. They pay great attention to detail and provide services that your family will need. My dad loves bingo and the staff would sit and they all enjoyed it. Elite Personal Care-home is a great place for your love one to age in place at. They offer assistant living and independent living. All you need to do is bring your clothes and a smile and they take care of the rest! I used them for respite but i am loving forward to long term placement for my dad with them! The rooms in the house are cozy, great in size and has all accommodations for my dad. "

"Bellevue Woods is just around the corner from me, and I know several people who live there who like it, so that's why I chose it. They were very friendly, and they showed me around. I saw what one of the apartments looked like. They have a pool and a room where everybody can gather around and do things. It is clean and nice. There are places to walk around in. "My mother is in the Applingwood Health Care Center. I like the fact that they are very conscientious about who comes in and who comes out, they are using the COVID restrictions to the best of their ability. They have the monitor type of visitations where you come in and they only have to visit one area, so you don't go through a facility, so that way nobody won't be contracting anything and bringing it back to others. So I like it. And they are very attentive to their residents. They are very active with the residents and know what's going on with them and know each one of them. So I like it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The community layout is nice. I mean, it is all staggering, if I can say it is like three different facilities on the same parking lot and they all have their whole parking area. So it's very easy to find. The atmosphere is good, you would think you're home away from home. They have where they can get their nails done, get their hair done, they have crocheting and they can do their painting or art. So I love it. Arts and crafts, I mean, they have everything, movies, it's like in another world."

"This is a wonderful facility; my husband was here for 1 1/2 years until he had to go into a nursing home. Sadly, he passed away on December 13, 2013 from this devastating desease. I want to encourage anyone who has a loved one with a dementia-related illness to visit and hopefully, decide to entrust their loved one to the wonderful caring staff. I work full time, and as I stated in an earlier message, while it was always hard to leave my husband each day, I never doubted that he was going to be receiving compassionate care here. I am still going to the support group meetings to give and receive encouragement in my grief. I have met some wonderful people in those meetings, and it is truly a source of comfort to me. "
