I was not impressed with Golden Living Center - Bella Vista because it seemed kind of old and run down. It looked like they were pretty well staffed because I saw a number of people who seemed trained for memory care. I was quite impressed with the staff.

Do not put your loved one in this home! They seem nice and only a handful of nurses really do their job there.Others I seen have taken short cuts. Being a former nurse I understand what it takes to work with Alzheimer's /dementia patients. This place is always short staffed, the nurses seem to argue with each other about who's doing what or what should have been done. I have heard a certain nurse in particular discuss resident information in front of visitors. Another disturbing thing was while in the diningroom the head nutrition woman was telling a rather colorful story to another employee I even heard her cuss several times. The management is lacking in all areas and seems to blame a lot of problems on their nurses instead of taking control and finding balance. I will say however the psychical therapy department managed by a different company but in the same building, is amazing. Not only are they caring they work with family members of the residents care. My final thought about this place is I would rather take care of my family member myself or hire a private nurse to come into the home.
