My aunt has lived at Mother Joseph for over 15 years. She had moved in after her first heart attack. The facility has always seemed nice. Over the years I got to know many of the nurses and consider some of them friends. The facility is clean and active. Most of the residents are capable of reasonable levels of mobility, which means the hallways and doorways aren't usually cluttered with people trying to move. While there are a good number of daily scheduled activities, most of these are optional and that leaves the residents a lot of freedom to pursue personal interests. My aunt painted and drew so her room was canvased with pictures and painting on the walls. My aunt's favorite thing was what she called "Christ-like service". She had often told us that some not all of the nurses were very faithful and very devoted to helping the residents, not just being there as a job. She never reported any problems beyond day-to day concerns with residents which happens with elderly women who gossip.

Positive - employees are always very caring and willing to help. They are always positive and make the people living at the facility feel comfortable.Negative - The care facility is still quite depressinging although the employees are very good at what they do. It is hard to see people that have trouble living on there own and knowing that they will likely never leave the facility again. Another negative was the food. All the food seems very bland and cold to warm. I think that improved food and some spirit would turn the place around
