Accepted Answer

We focus on fine dining and provide 3 meals a day plus snacks that are always available. Our residents can enjoy a home cooked meal based on regular diets. We like to hear input from our residents when planning out the weekly menu.

Accepted Answer

All doors are alarmed and also locked from the outside. All residents wear a call pendant so they can call for assistance anytime.

What safety features or security measures does Derian Place Senior Living provide to protect residents who wander?

Accepted Answer

We provide frequent checks on residents along with activities throughout the day to help keep them engaged and discourage wandering. However we are not a locked community therefor are not safely able to accommodate exiting seeking behaviors.

Accepted Answer

We are a pet friendly community. We accept pets un 30lbs that are able to be cared for and up to date on their vaccinations. We also welcome any visiting pets and incorporate per therapy into our programming.

Accepted Answer

We have monthly mandatory staff training including daily stand up, monthly staff meetings, and relias training. We also take advantage of training completed by our partners including hospice, pharmacy, dietitian, and therapy.

Accepted Answer

We always have 2 care staff in the building at all times and overnight per 22 apartments. During the day and week there are more staff including the resident care coordinator, nurse, and life enrichment director.

Accepted Answer

The average age that resides in our Assisted Ling would be late 80's to 90's. They enjoy being social, staying active with exercise, and going on our outings. We are always looking for new ideas from our residents to help create the best programming.

Our activities touch on all aspects: Cognitive, Physical, Purposeful, Sensory, Social, Spiritual, and Vocational/Professional. We strive for a balance among these aspects to be able to provide the best programming for our residents.

Accepted Answer

We have nice sidewalks and a walking path along with Moccasin Creek for the residents to enjoy.

Accepted Answer

Transportation is included to appointments plus for special outings for activities. We have a 14 passenger bus and a wheelchair accessible van.

We strive for great communication with residents and their families. We update them on any changes but also have care conferences where we can all touch base and discuss concerns or highlights. Families have our direct numbers as well to reach out whenever they need to.
