My sister is in Cooper River Assisted Living. We looked at it and met with the director. It was clean. The director was very accommodating and informative. We looked at a room that was a corner room with two windows and a small refrigerator, and it had security, which we like because we fear that she would walk out. She seems to enjoy doing the activities there. They do her laundry and meals, and she's got a TV. She can bring in her own furniture. A big selling point for us was the fact that she wears a wristband, and she can't just walk out the front door. An alarm will go off. Also, we met some of the staff at the front desk, and it was like a nice open lobby. This was more conveniently located for us, too. Price-wise, it was more within her budget. They've been great, so the price is workable for now. She seems happy there. It is smaller than the other place that she was in.
