The Best Senior Living Communities in Worcester, PA

"I liked that the independent living people at Arbour Square of Harleysville seemed to be active. I am a fairly active senior. So, I need to be in a facility that has active seniors with the ability to have a place to work out and all that and be close to all the activities that I'm involved with at the moment. They had a nice facility and the price was reasonable. I liked the fact that it's a rental and you don't have to spend a lot of money to buy in. They had nice grounds that I could walk around and a swimming pool. The woman did an excellent job of showing me around and making suggestions on how to try out the facility."

"I moved into Hudson Estates. I chose it because they didn't have any entrance fees and they were very cooperative on how much money was due at the beginning. It's new and I'm very comfortable. Everybody is very cooperative, very helpful, very nice, and very friendly. The rent includes 3 meals, but there are some days when the food is not so good. There's a good selection of activities and there's always something to do. I enjoyed the book club that I went to."

"Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting was very modern, very spacious and open, and very clean. It was very welcoming. The apartments were beautiful. The staff who assisted us during the tour was nice. They did have a movie that was playing while we were there, and the residents were enjoying it. We saw the gym and the dining area."

"My mother-in-law will be moving into Arden Courts of King of Prussia. We chose them because they specialize in behavioral dementia. They are very good at what they do. Few places specialize in frontal lobe dementia, and they are very trained in handling the behaviors, de-escalating, and redirecting. The rooms are smaller for a purpose because they try to encourage all residents to be out among all of the other residents. It's in a circle, so they can kind of walk in any direction, and get where they need to be. They have full access to the outside courts, which was very important to my mother-in-law. They've got activities almost like every other hour just to keep them up and moving and interactive. You can tell that it's a little dated. It's an older community. It's not a modernized, community but it's fit for dementia care."

"We went to Sunrise of North Wales. It was very nice, clean, and organized. It had spacious rooms. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. They had extensive menus and the dining area was very pleasant. They had daily activities, they had cooking classes, they went on field trips. They had a library. They had a movie room. The atmosphere was very nice, very welcoming. It was like you're walking in a hotel, not a nursing home."

"The staff at NewSeasons is very accommodating. The place is very clean, nice and affordable. The facility is close to where I live so it's not hard to visit my mom there. Her oncology doctors are only half a mile away and there's also shopping areas nearby. The food is served restaurant-style. My mother likes the food. She is in a room with a small kitchenette. She has her own furniture. The residents also have lots of activities. The staff takes them out if they're able to. "

"I toured Viva Senior Living at Dresher. It was good. Everything was excellent. The tour guide was nice. The cafeteria was nice and big. The rooms were nice-sized, big, and looked new. They had a nice bath size for them. I liked the cleanliness, activities, interaction, and personal care with the resident. They have plenty of parking, and the upkeep was excellent."

"Hidden Meadows on the Ridge & The Laurel was our second choice. It appealed to us. They scored high on everything. The only turn off for us was that the building had three floors and the elevator was kind of slow. If you're on the third floor you have to go down to the first floor to eat, which could be a problem. Having them living on one floor is more convenient for somebody that has trouble getting around. The staff members were very good. This place really stood out for us as a place we would want to go to. The rooms were really roomy and fairly large. The dining area was laid out nicely and was spacious, with nice outdoor views. There's also plenty of room if you have family or visitors. It wasn't an older place and it was modern. They had everything that we needed. They have visitors that come in, and they do things with the residents. For example, during Easter time they did Easter activities and helped make baskets for the grandchildren. They also go on outings and to casinos. They have a wide variety of things to do. Everyone we bumped into there was friendly. We had lunch there and the food was fantastic. They were very accommodating."

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"My wife is currently in Springfield Senior Living. I'm very satisfied and very happy with the staff in the facility. I feel very comfortable with my loved one being there. The staff are very attentive, very caring, and very friendly, not only with my loved one, but they seem to be like that with all the residents there. The food is pretty good from what I've seen. They would get nice portions and nice variety. I know they have activities daily. I haven't been through the whole building. They have a library, a TV room, and a recreation room. They have a room where they can go and exercise."

"I like that The Terrace at Chestnut Hill is a clean place and it seems to be well run. People are kind and the staff seemed to be a personable. The place is very bright. "

"This facility is the cleanest that I have ever visited. The staff is friendly and are very attentive to the residents. Lee is the greatest. He is always willing to help the families of the residents with any questions or concerns. I have called him so many times and he has always returned the calls even after hours. I have seen him around the residents and he is a very caring individual. Ardent - Warminster should be very proud to have him at their facility. Families can be confident that their loved ones are being care for and respected."

"Daylesford Crossing was clean, and the facilities were great. The staff did a wonderful job. The room, the food, the menu and their dining room were adequate. They had everything there."
