WeCare at Waynesburg

My parents are in WeCare at Waynesburg. It's a very good facility. The communication is excellent and the care is equally excellent. It's a traditional skilled care and long-term care facility where they provide the standard services, and the staff has been very accommodating, communicative, and helpful. Their meals are institutional food so it's just as good as it can be.

My dad has been in WeCare at Waynesburg for a while now. The people are really on the ball. They seem to take really good care of my dad. I don't really have anything negative to say about them. They seem to be on top of things. His room is nice and pleasant. The place seems to be pretty well kept. They are helping my dad pretty much with everything, like feeding, medications, and personal care. I have not tried their food, but it had been delivered when I was there, and it smelled wonderful. The facility seems to be clean any time I've been there, and they seem to have a lot of activities and programs. My dad is to the point where he really isn't able to participate too much, but they are available. He seems to be getting pretty good care there.

Rolling Meadows Nursing Home was a surprisingly good facility for my Grandmother who recently passed away. She lived in the facility for over 2 years. During that I was able to visit her on occasion and was really happy with the quality of care and the overall facility. The caretakers were always prompt, conscientious, and friendly to the patients. The center had numerous activities including live bands, parties, social gatherings, and even art events for the residents. Large screen tvs were available in several open areas for residents to watch tv. On of my favorite areas was the front area where a large bird cage house numerous birds. It was a favorite for residents as well. Residents, if they desired, were even allowed to go outside with relatives or friends. The surrounding area is quite nice with several fields and nearby hills. I remember sitting right outside of the entrance way and watching bunnies, birds, and even golphers running around. Another plus for the facility is that there are many volunteers. Many volunteers help out with events, meeting residents, and participating with residents in social gatherings. It was really a nice facility and I was very glad that my grandmother was able to stay there. If anyone lives near Waynesburg, PA and has a loved one in need of long term care, I would highly recommend looking at Rolling Meadows.
