"We toured both the assisted living and memory care at Sunrise of North Wales. It seemed very well organized. Everyone knew everyone, which was very nice, and I liked the fact that it was a smaller facility. We were on several floors and they showed us a lot of things, including the layout of the rooms and things like that. We talked about what would work for my two friends because we had a lot of requirements considering that they had two different sets of needs, and they were all discussed. So, it was good. The lady who toured us knew everybody and they were all acknowledging each other with good mornings and hi's. She answered all the questions and was very clear. It was easy to follow what she was talking about when we asked some things. She also offered information on things we hadn't thought of right off the bat, and that made it a lot easier. She was very well informed. The apartments seemed sufficient for what they were. I just thought I would have liked to have a bigger living area. The bedrooms seem to be the most spacious area with the sunlight and a view, which was a really important factor for us. I particularly liked their main dining room. I thought that was nice and I think they would appreciate and probably use that primarily. They also had some patios and some porches upstairs and downstairs, which I liked, because this couple lived out in the woods and they overlooked these beautiful gardens, and that's what they stare at every day. It was important for them to have something like that. That was a real plus."

"The staff is generally friendly and very accommodating. Our situation was unique because our parents both need assistance, but at different levels. The staff has gone out of their way to accommodate dads “need” to be with mom, even though she actually needs more physical care than he does. The Admissions Director and the Director of Nursing deserve the credit for making this possible. Hopefully mom will get well enough to join dad in assisted living and they will both be happy in their new home."

"My sister is at McCallum LLC. It is near our home. The room is fine. My sister likes it too. She has her own bathroom. So far, since she has been there, she has been in the room by herself, but there is a room for one other person. I absolutely recommend this facility. It is a nice community. It is quiet. My sister likes it. "

"Traditions of Lansdale looked pretty nice inside. The room was just a small one-bedroom with a bathroom. It had a decent closet space. The outside seating area looked nice. They had two different courtyards and then the nice outside area. The TV room where people gathered was a pretty nice area. They also had a kitchen area that was out in the public area where they had cooking lessons and things, which was nice. The staff was pretty nice, too. It was an older building, but it seemed pretty updated. The dining area looked fairly nice."

"Sunrise of Abington was really good and the one that we are considering. We like the atmosphere, the place, and the way the apartments are laid out. Most of all, it had a full kitchen. There is not enough closet space, but we can probably work that out. The staff was good and did a good job. They have two meals a day included in your monthly fee. The dining area was laid out very nicely."

"We looked at Wesley Enhanced Living. The apartments were beautiful, the furnishings and accommodations were nice, and they had planned trips and scheduled activities. The dining area was nice, with big windows."

"I toured this facility to see if it would be a good place for a family member. New Seasons has a clean and attractive building. The resident's rooms are laid out nicely, and the dining room is beautiful. I observed that the residents seemed to feel settled and happy there. There were good interactions going on among residents, and the staff knew the residents by name and seemed to be kind and accommodating to them. Our family is seriously considering New Seasons at New Britain for our loved one. "

"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"I went to look at Sunrise of Haverford. The employees there were very friendly. The staff who gave me a tour was very friendly. The facility seemed a little dated. They have a salon and outside walkways. The upkeep was adequate. It's close to my home. It is in between two big hospitals. There is shopping within walking distance of it."

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"Symphony Square had very limited outdoor space, and the place was not that attractive. It was something about the building itself, that's why I was not impressed. It was located in a residential area just off the main road. There were no outside spaces for the residents to go out to except the small paved area next to the road. The rest of the building seemed all right. Some residents were out of their rooms but they didn't seem to be engaging with each other or with anything."

"Columbia Cottage Collegeville looked very nice, and the people there were very congenial. It was relatively new, and it was right across the street from the Collegeville diner, and I liked their tuna fish sandwiches. It was also near the Toastmaster Club that I belong to. Everything I saw looked very nice. The room looked nice. Everything was clean. It's in a very good neighborhood. I saw the grounds, the office, and they had a little room where they held a cooking class."
