My mother was Huntingdon Nursing and Rehab Center. Everything was good as far as the people. Right now, it was in the process of being renovated. They were updating everything. That was the only problem with that place. It was kind of old. Now, they were trying to modernize the rooms. They had a small gymnasium area. It had three floors. They had an Alzheimer's unit in one floor, and it was laid out a little different. However, that time they did not have a locked down facility.

When you first pull up to Huntingdon Manor you may think it looks like a decent place to live but after you enter into the building you may change your mind. The decor is very outdated and old. The rooms are tiny and there is very little space for your personal belongings. After you go up the elevator you will see so many residents crammed into the small hallway in their wheel chairs. A particular time I went to visit my loved one, she was eating lunch and had been finished for quite some time and was waiting to be pushed back to her room where we were waiting for her. I ended up being the one to push her back after I went to check on her in the lunch room. She was just sitting there waiting. One positive thought is this facility is attached to the hospital so emergency care is not care away. The workers are friendly and make small talk as you come to visit your loved ones.
