My mother moved into Redstone Highlands 4 months ago. I've never seen it. We're several thousand miles apart. We've been talking, we've had Zoom calls, we do have someone in the area who visits her through a window when she can. They've been as cooperative as they can be, like on the Zoom calls we had the guy walked around the room, and showed us the room. When she has problems we call in the nurse and ask them about it. Sometimes we talk to them and we're straight about it, she's got some memory issues so sometimes I don't believe what she's telling me. As frustrating as it is, it's been working. I think she has a deluxe personal care room, which is just a one room, and they have end units and hall units. She transferred from long-term care into assisted living. She got into the beauty salon I think once or twice. It was very nice, and she was happy about that, but she hasn't returned recently because of some incidents.

Redstone Highlands Greensburg is very clean, and most of the staff members are very good. The food isn't the best, probably just average, and the dining area is a little crowded. They have travel logs, movies, lots of exercise programs, playing games and so on. I'm interested in the library and there's an art class that I go to. They have a chaplain who comes once a week and I also go to that.

The reality is very different that the immediate show. Nothing to do. No one to do it with. A lot of small talk among staff and people who come in and out. They often have rooms and bed for a reason.

I had a very bad experience with Redstone Highlands, and both my parents were there. The assisted living was dark; it's not appealing, it's in a basement, and there's not enough natural light. The hallway was very bleak, and the dining room was depressing. However, it was what I needed at that time because my dad needed nursing, and my mom needed assisted living. However, Redstone threw her out of the room two weeks after my dad passed. After that, my mother's dementia deteriorated, and she became paranoid. It was terrible, and I was not happy with them.

My mother was at Redstone Highlands. It was a wonderful place with nice rooms. The people were very kind and helpful. They had activities, like bingo, choirs that came in and sang, and had an orchestra playing one night.

Redstone Highlands is absolutely beautiful, like a cruise ship. It is more costly, but you get more décor, and it is very lavish. I’d love to have my mother there but it is very expensive. They had independent apartments which had multiple rooms, personal care with the studio. It was a very large facility with an exercise room and activity room. The dining area was more lavish than the other facilities I've seen. The woman we had a tour with was wonderful, very knowledgeable, and very friendly; she’s very good at her job. The residents looked well taken care of, clean, neat, and smiley.

My husband had to go in for PT at Redstone Highlands. You go in as independent living and don't have a large buy-in entrance fee, but they have a four-year declining balance. They're in a busy section with a lot of traffic, not a lot of land, but you can walk. It was farther away from our children. It was very satisfactory and had a very high reputation. The food was good. They offered us a lot of activities, trips to the grocery store, and rides to doctors. My close friend said they were having problems with the management.

My mother is staying at Redstone Highlands Health Care. It's different from the other assisted living places. It's not like an apartment and more like a hospital. Everybody seems nice there, and she seems to get along well. The room was a little small, and she was in with another person. It doesn't have bad odors, was very well-maintained, and had a very good staff.

Redstone Highlands is very clean. The staff is caring and took excellent care of my aunt. She was able to return to her assisted living apartment after her stay there. She's 94. They have a gym and offer PT and OT. They have three different levels: apartment level, one-bedroom with a kitchenette, and skilled. They have it all covered. They have a full calendar of activities, like church, bingo, and a transportation bus to take them to the Dollar Store. The place is very neat and clean, pretty modern, and light and airy. They have an outside porch and green space. My aunt was pleased with the value for what she got. The only thing is that they could use some computer updates because a lot of the elderly now are computer-savvy. They need some work stations for the elderly.

Redstone Highlands is one the better facilities in Greensburg. It’s absolutely beautiful. The staff is wonderful -- very kind, very giving. I was told by my mom that the food is great. It’s a little paradise. They have people that help you make the transition. It’s a great place. We are lucky to be able to get there. I know they have bingos, and they have shuttles if people want to go where they want, if they want to go to shows. They have parties and get-togethers quite a bit. My mom seems to be very happy with everything.

I rated the facility four out of five stars because I think the staff did a good job. I think that these types of facilities are always viewed negatively because its just a sad place. You go there and you know that the people there are going to die in the near future. That being said, Redstone did a good job to get that idea out of people's head. They had many activities and the staff was extrememely positive and helpful. Even the food was pretty good. The environment was very warm and the residents feel very close to one another. I remember one time i came to visit my aunt and a nurse was there just listening to my aunt tell a story. The employee didn't have to stay and listen but she chose too. This showed that the employees truly cared about the residents. I have no complaints at all about this facility. My aunt had great years there and I would recommend it to anyone.
