This letter is written in praise of the entire staff that works the Berry Ridge section at Arden Courts, Easton, Pa. My father (Vinny) possessed mid-level dementia and was placed in the care of Arden Courts after spending two years in a different local Assisted Living facility. After my Mom (Vinny’s spouse) passed and he completed a few hospital/rehabilitation center visits, he was relocated from living in a 2.5 room apt (in a memory care unit) to a much smaller private room and 1/2 bathroom at Arden Courts. The family was quite concerned about how well he would handle the transition. This letter is not intended to compare the accommodation of each facility. But emphasize no matter how elaborate the décor and accommodations are - it is the dedication and commitment of the staff that made those walls a home. The entire Berry Ridge staff welcomed and treated my Dad as family. That word “family” is used quite frequently in Assisted Living marketing materials, BUT the Arden Courts - Berry Patch facility turned a phrase into a reality. They welcomed Dad and actively supported all his needs. From medical, daily care, to the most important emotional support. He was treated with respect and dignity. They made Dad, as well as myself, feel important, safe, and cared for. To the management of Arden Courts. Thank you, for creating a caring culture that exemplifies caregiving. Your vision is realized by the high standards of compassion your entire staff consistently delivers. Sincerely, Jim B

I was at Arden Courts of Old Orchard. The fellow that took me around and talked to me in the office, his name was Christian, didn't come across as a real caring person about the older residents. It just kind of came across that he was thinking more about the business end of the whole place, and it just turned me off. He walked me down the hall, and I kind of peeked into a room. I saw the kitchen area, and the other areas, but I just wasn't impressed. I looked at it and I didn't want my mom to be there. They need to get somebody with better people skills to represent them for people coming to look for their parents or loved ones.

My father is in Arden Courts of Old Orchard. We chose it because of the fenced-in outdoor space. He's in memory care. The staff is very attentive. His room is fine. It's big enough and it was furnished. It has a bed, a side table, a chest of drawers, a small chair, and then a recliner that he brought with him. He has no complaints about the food, though I wouldn't say he has a refined palate. The dining area is another reason we chose it. The facility is broken up into four different groups, so the dining area is quite small. It probably only serves about 15 people, as opposed to many of the other facilities, which had one large dining area which would service 45 people. We like the dining area concept. I know there are two activities every day that they have for them, but I don't know what they are. The living atmosphere is quite pleasant. The outside is fine. It's not pretentious. We're quite happy. We're quite pleased with the staff.

Arden Court is a safe and beautiful home for our dad. The nurses and staff take great care and pride in knowing each individual person and family members. Arden Court has private bedrooms with a bathroom. The layout is exactly what a person with Dimentia needs. There are daily fun activities. The goal is to keep your family member safe, happy and cared for at all times. I praise the staff and thank them for the peace our family feels in having Dad live there. The facility, grounds and staff make a wonderful home.

My mother currently resides at Arden Courts Memory Care Center of Easton for a year and a half. She has done very well there with the assistance of caring staff. She feels safe and loved by by staff who are friendly, and always meeting her needs, both physically and mentally. I can't imagine her anywhere else. Beautiful facility.

Arden Courts of Old Orchard is three years old, so everything still sparkles. They have a beautiful, walk-in and a little courtyard thats fenced in. Everybody has a private room and a private bath, and the shower room was really lovely. You can bring in your own furniture and you can have a TV in your room, although they also have a TV room with couches and chairs. They have a lovely dining room with a kitchen. However, they say that all they deal with is dementia, and yet they could not deal with my husbands Alzheimer's symptoms.

Arden Courts (Arden Courts of Old Richard) was a nice place, but it didn't work out for my husband. He was combative so they could not keep him there. I think if he had been calmer it would have worked out well. The staff, nurses, and the food were good. The place is beautifully laid-out, more like a home-centered type facility, and not like a nursing home. It's secure and fenced in so you can walk around outside. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Arden Courts is top notch. The food was good, and she has adapted to the activities. The care is very good, I’m well acquainted with almost everybody there because I go there at least 2 times a week.
