My grandmother Mary was diagnosed with altzimers at 85 years old. It was scary for us, for a normally chatty and vivacious woman to slowly turn into a sad shell of her former self. She was living on her own with a home care nurse, but it was time for her to to be in a facility that could attend to her needs full time. We had hear of Cascade View from one of my mum's friends, and when we took a tour, we decided it was the right place for Mary. We sure made the right desision! Every time we visited her, there was some new activity she was looking forward to, like bingo, bridge or even playing around on a wii! The assisting nurses and aids were very attentive to Mary, her skin was always well taken care of and they always make sure to take care of her teeth and hair. The food always looked fresh and she was always assisted with eating if she needed it, but never forced. They encouraged her to do things like walking around the facility or visiting the garden. I was so happy to see the last years of my grandmother's life be in a facility that was really about her and truly cared.

Cascade View Nursing Center is one of the most highly respected nursing facilities within the entire Deschutes county region. It received 100% perfection on its last state survey, and for good reason. The staff is incredibly compassionate to all the residents that live there. All the needs are exceptionally met and safety is always being thought of. There are always plenty of staff to answer questions and get involved with the residents activities of daily living. The entire facility is immaculate, has no peculiar odors, and is extremely clean. Located in the middle of Bend, Oregon, the facility is easy to get to with adequate parking all the time. There are great views of the cascade mountain range for the residents to enjoy as well. Rooms are very nice, and roomy, with only two residents to a room. The activities director prepares weekly activities for the residents and ensures that all residents are entertained.
