"Dogwood Creek is a little bit cheaper, but they have a good facility. There is a central dining room and then the hallways are off the main deals with apartments off in each one of the hallways. The physical appearance of the facility is excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable in their facility. I toured the whole facility, and they showed me the two-bedroom, the one-bedroom, and the studio. They showed me one that I was really interested in because I have a little Yorkie dog and he would be permitted there. They showed me an apartment that opened onto a courtyard where I could take him out. I didn't eat the meals there. I went through the cafeteria and it looked very enticing. It looked like the food was well prepared, but I didn't sample any food. They have a library and a reading room. They have a bus service or van service to take you out to do personal shopping to the local stores. They take you to your doctors' appointments."

"I note the negative reviews are from several years ago, only to say that my mother is there now, 2020, and receives EXCELLENT and loving care. Individualized, caring, sensitive, attentive, creative and quality service at a very reasonable price. Staff is excellent (and long term, some over 20 years) administrator is stellar...she came to mom’s room to help with care when her aid was otherwise occupied. Holiday meals were delicious and all other meals we’ve seen were appetizing and tasty (we went daily before the Covid pandemic). The best testimony we can give is we’d stay here if we need this level of care. I’ve never seen ANY bugs! This is an older facility but they make the most of what they’ve got. We’ve been to other facilities with nice new physical plant but we chose this place for the people. Plus it’s “not for profit,” a rare exception to the rule in Oklahoma."

"Broadway Manor Nursing Home is all in one level, the ground level, and it has three wings. The people I've dealt with who work there are all just really nice people to deal with. Like anything else, it has a few problems, or glitches. I've noticed that sometimes there are too many people taking care of one person. Let's say my mom has a problem and tells a staff member, but that person couldn't solve the problem and says, "Okay, I'll tell so and so who needs to solve it." And it never gets done. I don't know if it's because of lack of communication, but everybody all in all has been good to my mom and tries to take care of her needs. Everybody has been really good. They have arts and crafts and things, and they have different religions that come in and offer services. They have a little bus, and once in a while if the residents want to, the residents can clamor aboard this bus and go on a ride through a park, and things like that. I'm paying for my mom to have a private room. They have an exercise room, and they have bookshelves in all of the sitting areas that are crammed with books, but their food is not too good. In terms of the price, I think they're all too high."

"I visited Pleasant Valley Health Care Center. I like that they had beautiful flowers and nice hallways that were orderly and clean. The rooms I saw were semi-private, and I thought they were a bit small. The staff and the people there were helpful. I think they were all personable. During our visit, the place was decorated for a holiday."

"Wagoner Care is a small nursing home. The staff always have smiles on their faces and seem quit genuine. My grandmother was there and she had dementia, she couldn't remeber who anyone was. The staff was so patient with her and never forced her when she was scared or nervous. They were able to get her up and bathed and into the cafeteria with caring and patientience. They would stop by and check on her and they would approach her with a warm smile and quitely remind her where she was what was going on. I never felt like I wasn't welcome to visit and the nurses would be very knowledgeable. The would call me day or night for information on my grandmother. For instance she was talking about a friend of her's alot, and this wasn't anyone she had talked about before. The nurse called me to ask about this person so that they could have conversations with my grandmother to help with her memory. All I can say is Wagoner care was a great place for my grandmother and the care given was at the top. "

"My experience with Sequoyah Manor Nursing Home (SMNH) began in the year 2005. The first impression was this is an excellent facility with the absolute best staff available anywhere. The care provided to every resident far exceeds expectations from the aides to the nurses. Every single one is professional and personal and display love to everyone of the residents and their families. The kitchen staff serves hot delicious meals and the activities are enjoyed by all. I would not hesitate to have my loved one become a resident here where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. This is the resident's home and the staff realizes they are blessed to be employed at this facility."
