Fort Gibson Nursing Home is located in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. My grandmother stayed the last year of her life there. I made sure to visit her every day to visit and to check on her. During my visits I was greeted with a very kind front desk staff member. If there was ever a problem they would either call or let me know as soon as I walked in. They always seem to be keeping an eye on her and if they thought there maybe a problem with her medicine they would let me know they had a call into the doctor. That way I always knew if my grandmother had a change in her physical well being it could be due to the new medicine. The area is secure and you can only get in and out by the ladies at the desk which is a positive seeing how my grandmother had Alzheimer's. I want to also mention that it was always clean and they seem to have things in working order. I did have the opportunity to catch them during different times of the day during meal time. They always seem to have a good hot meal served and those that were unable to feed themselves had someone there to do so. One suggestion I would make if, you have someone there or plan on going there make sure you keep personal items labeled with your name and don't keep a lot a things. They seem to get lost easily. Should it be clothing let them know. They probably sent them to a wrong room. Fort Gibson Nursing Home isn't overly huge and I think with that plus having great staff members helps a lot.
