When we try to call and talk with a dear friend who resides there we are given the runaround and hung up on multiple times. He has a hearing aid and instead of making sure it is working properly they tell us just not to call because he cannot hear. That is completely unacceptable. He has also had many things stolen from him in this facility. I do not recommend. The staff may be overwhelmed but it is no excuse to treat family and friends who want to connect and stay in the resident's life poorly. They need some serious help.

I performed my LPN clinical rotation at this facility several years ago. Since then I have had grandparent and multiple patients in Antlers Manor. The staff are not helpful, courteous, or nice. They act like they are there for a paycheck only and not the residents. I even felt like some of the residents were mistreated. Everyone in the community I have talked to about this facility feel the same way. I would not reccomend to anyone. Antlers manor also has a skilled unit and several of my home health patients have been there after hip fractures, knee replacements, and CVAs to recieve physical/occupational therapy. These patients told me they did not recieve any or very little therapy and had to recieve other therapy after thier discharge from this facility. I, as a nurse, do not refer anyone to this facility due to my bad experiences. I know nursing homes are very hard to work in due to the large amout of patients and low number of staff, but I would really like to see Antlers manor show some compassion for these people.
