We just moved my mom there last week, and so far, so good. The food is excellent. They have state-of-the-art amenities. They have everything, including a beautiful full kitchen, indoor sun rooms, outdoor patios, wide hallways where everything is brand new, waterfalls, and a fireplace in the lobby. They have programs for the dementia patients to be involved in mid-morning and mid-afternoon, like eating together for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. "

"When time came to make the difficult decision to move mom from home, Alexis Gardens came highly recommended by a professional in this area of service industry. We look at other locations and unanimously chose the Gardens. The rooms are well appointed, large bathroom and bedroom. The staff are amazing! This was something that stood out; so many had worked here since it was built. I trust them. That says a lot. While mom doesn't utilize the van service for outings, she does enjoy the music and other entertainment that is offered. The only constructive feedback would be to offer more food options that are not so heavily leaning on bread and pastas. "

"I toured Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings. The rooms were clean and nice. Everything was clean. It was good. It was a nice facility. They answered all of our questions. They were very accommodating and very helpful."

"I had an in-person tour of Vibrant Life Temperance. There's only 20 people that are allowed in there. And they only have about eight people in there so far. The people there have better cognizance, and so my mom would be able to talk to them. The main place where they would gather for dinner had a TV where they would socialize. They are more one-on-ones with the people. They have memory care. They do more things with the people to make them try to remember better. The staff members were very nice and caring to the people. They have a good menu. They'll do the diet according to the person. They have a room where they have workout stuff. They had a courtyard or a patio. There are restaurants nearby."

"I saw StoryPoint Waterville. It was new and clean. I like their menu and their chef. It turned out we're members of the same organization of chefs, so we know a lot of other familiar people and that was fun. The people at StoryPoint Waterville were nice. It was a three-level facility, so you could be independent, then with assisted care, and then total care. I enjoyed it as far as I could remember. It was OK. They have a bus to take you around if you need to go somewhere. Waterville is a nice quaint little village, so it's nice."

"My mom has been at Aspen Grove for 5 1/2 years. I’m very pleased with the care my mom receives. I can put my head down on my pillow at night, knowing my mom is being in good hands. The meals that are served are very good and cooked in the kitchen at Aspen Grove. If a resident doesn’t like what is being served, they will prepare something that they will eat. The residents are kept busy with activities. "

"I went to Otterbein Pemberville SeniorLife Community. The place was beautiful. I think anybody would be happy to be there. I just didn't like the long drive to get there. That was my only objection. As for the staff, whoever we passed in the hallway, everybody spoke. It was like a big family. You were not a stranger. Even before my tour guide introduced me, everybody was so friendly. I just couldn't get over that. They had a laundry room, exercise, places, little sitting rooms, and a big sitting room. I don't think you would get lonesome if you went there. If the road going there was a little shorter, I would go there in a minute. It's still on top of my list. It's fabulous."

"Brookdale Bowling Green was nice and a good place. They showed me everything, the dining, the different kinds of rooms. They talked to me and asked me about my dad. They were very thorough. They were good, and I'm actually considering this place. The staff who gave the tour was also good. I felt at home and I liked it, they made me feel comfortable. The facilities are all good."

"Clare Bridge was very clean and homey.It was almost like you were walking into someone's home. I think they were set up for only 18 people. They had a waiting list though and they were full. The staff was very nice, helpful and willing to set us up with another place until they had an opening but it was just far. "

"Brookdale Monroe is a really nice place. The tour was excellent. The gentleman I talked to was really nice. I liked the people I spoke with. It was very clean. The people seemed happy; I really liked it. It was a really nice and clean place. If you have money, it would be a great place to put your loved one. They seemed very caring and very clean. I like the people, and I like the ratio of people to your home care. I give them that; it was a really nice place. The rooms were clean and nice size. They didn't have any double rooms. They just have single rooms, and it was nice. It's one of the nicest ones I've been to. I would like to put my mother-in-law there. The dining area was a very nice open type area with the kitchen off to the side. There was a couple of ladies that were just sitting in there eatting a snack or something. I'm around dementia people all the time, so I understand having to explain everything 30 or 40 times. They seemed to be patient with that up there. I like that. Some residents were trying to do crossword puzzles. There was one that was just walking around. I'm not sure what other activities they have. They have a TV room, but they're allowed TVs in their rooms. They have a little exercise area there for them, where they make them walk slowly on a treadmill and stuff like that. They have a little sewing class. They actually have some kid toys that they seem to like to sit and play with. I would love to put my mother-in-law there, but I didn't have that type of money."

"ALCC was a very good place for my wife, the staff was VERY GOOD to her ALCC was very clean, a very nice small care center. They took the best care of my wife and other people. I spent a lot of time there and I only saw very good care. I don't know how they can hire such good and caring staff. ALCC was a good decision to place my wife . We had a neighbor that was in there years ago, they took very good care of her also ."
