Homestead Village

We have moved into Homestead Village. They have a place for us and for our friends. We like it. We like its affordability. We also like that we can be as independent as we want. It's like living in an apartment on our own. The staff was very, very helpful. They were very accommodating when we had some special requests. They bent over backwards to help both our friend and us get in. They did a very good job all over. We had a couple of maintenance issues, and they were on top of it right away. They have a big common room, a TV room, and a bar. They have several places for social lights. We haven't really been able to get involved with activities too much. We attended the Veterans Appreciation Day, and it went very well.

My mom was a resident of Homestead Village. The building itself was a great little community. They always reach out to each other and make you feel at home. It was like a little studio-looking apartment and very cozy. The upkeep was pretty good. They had a library, a workout room to work out, an art room where they could go in and do art, a little library where they could work on the computers and stuff, or read. They had a beauty salon where they went to get their hair and nails done. When we first came into it, the staff let us believe a lot of stuff was included, amenities, and like you go out to do stuff, and it wasn't like that. You have to sign up or pay extra. I'll have to give that person a two, but when I was leaving, the person who had come in, then it was taken over, she was a five. She was the owner. She reached out, and she's very much concerned. A lot of the stuff that they said were activities were not always on par. They'll say they're having this on this day, and then they wouldn't do it, or maybe they didn't have somebody to teach the class or something. It wasn't all put together. They included your rent and cable, which they have like a box deal with a home set, making it affordable.

I moved into Homestead Village Senior Apartments last Saturday. What I love best is that it's quiet. The least is that I don't drive, so it's hard for me to get around. But my daughter does come and take me places. The staff is friendly. I don't see them every day. The facility is very clean. I like that they have a beauty salon right inside the building. They have a little snack bar, a library, a craft room, and an exercise room. They have a little pub down there, and just a place to relax, you can go in there and watch TV if you'd like. They have an exercise group. They have coffee time once a week. They have bingo every Friday. There's a card game they have every Saturday. Then they have activities where the residents go outside of the building as they meet at old Charlie's for a get-together. The people are very nice. There's a sitting area and when you go down there, there are always people there. They always speak to you. And a lot of people have their own animals. There are plenty of dogs here.

I went to Homestead Village. It was very clean. The staff there was very helpful and polite. They informed me that they have activities. They had a bark park and dog washing room and I really like that because I have a pet.

My dad and I will be moving into Homestead Village. Everyone is friendly there. It is nice and clean. The lease agent was perfect. When I stepped in, I knew that's where I would be. In terms of activities, I know they have a chapel there. I have a cousin who lives there, and she takes a Spanish class. I noticed that they had a small gym facility. If you have a pet, you have them groomed in a place there. There's a beauty salon there. They have a room where you can have a gathering for your family or something like that. There's a small deli section pub. It is just the kind of stuff that would work for me. It's just awesome.
