"The staff there was very attentive, and caring. I have worked in other nursing homes who only cared about making a quick buck but this nursing home has a lot of fun activities for the residents and a lot of amenities to make it feel just like home. This nursing home unlike many others that I know of or have worked at had an administrator that was very caring and genuinely cared about the residents. He made sure to hire staff that also genuinely cared about the residents there. The activities director was also fantastic she always had great activities for the residents to do such as baking, bingo and tours of different historical landmarks. They also catered to all different religious denominations so the residents would never miss out on what mattered most to them. Every Friday they also have live music and dancing for those who like to partake. I think this was by far one of the greatest nursing homes I had ever been in. I can't stress enough how great the staff was either. They kept the CNAs consistent so they weren't always changing up who would be giving care to the residents. The nurses were always the same too so they got the best care. "

"I'd rate this facility with 2 stars. In the mentally challenged ward, they have no form of entertainment except an occasional bingo game. There should be a permanent television attached to the wall with on-going programs so that the patients/residents do not have to stare at the walls. They also appear to over-medicate the patients keeping them lethargic and in a zombie state. Other than that, they appear to be a satisfactory organization. "

"My mother has Alzheimer's, and they have a small group at Parkview Manor. It is a really good, homey, and clean place, and I like the rooms. She has been there for a couple of months now, and I've been there a couple of times. The dining room is like a family room, but it has enough tables. They have the ladies and men sit in certain tables separately. It looks like they have a well-balanced meal. They are pretty secure, and you can't get in there without a code. I haven't been able to find anything wrong, but they should have more exercises for my mother. She is a totally different person when I put the iPod music on for her. It really makes a big difference. I would recommend them. "

"Trucare Living Center has a nice comfortable feel. The residents are very happy, and the staff interacted with them really well. It's like a large family environment. The rooms are a little small, but they are adequate for what is needed. They have multiple activities daily for the patients. My dad doesn't participate in them a lot, but they have bingo and physical therapy, and he spends a lot of time in physical therapy. They also bring entertainment in occasionally for the residents. They really are outstanding for what's available. This was the only option close to his home. "

"My husband was at Columbus Oaks Healthcare Community for three-and-a-half years. He loved them. The day he left, everybody greeted him, hugged him, and said goodbye. I never ate their food, but he ate every drop of every meal. I never had trouble with them. They would bring him to the lobby or feed him in his room. They took care of them. I was happy with everything."
