"My grandmother was living in this assisted living facility for approximately two months until we moved her to another location that could better provide for her and her individual needs. Upon visiting the facility with the director of nursing prior to her actually living there, we noticed many of the residents were unattended, and were in need of assistance. Upon asking about this, the Director of Nursing explained it away. After my grandmother had moved into the facility, we noticed that when visiting, she was complaining that she was not getting the help she needed, and with the surgery that she had prior, the help was necessary in order for my grandmother to bathe, get dressed and eat on some occasions. I also was aware afterwards that the employees were not fully trained on how to care for someone in my grandmothers conditions. The facility was not clean, the faculty was not professional, which lead my family to immediately remove my grandmother from this facility and to put her in one that better suited her needs. After a few months of rehabilitation, she is well and living back in her home. Thank you. "

"My mother was at Wildwood Ranch before they kicked her out. The facility was exceptional, beautiful, and brand new. The food was good, and most of the staff was wonderful. After Mom was moved out of Wildwood, I was told that there were a few nursing assistants picking on her. She has babies that she is attached to, and I was told that there was a few who were acting like they were pinching the baby’s head and trying to stir my mother up. But I didn’t know that until after she had been moved out. Other than that, all the people there seemed very friendly. They all loved my mother, and everybody in the facility knew her. In fact, they were naming their animals after my mother. For the 2 years that we were there, it was a good time. But, she got into some residents' stuff, and every time I came to visit, I would gather anything up that belonged to somebody else and give it back. Every once in a while, she would get mad and curse at them or take her clothes off. I was really happy with them with a lot of things, but with other things, I wasn’t at all."

"My husband's cousin is at Grove Nursing Center. He wants to go there. The rooms are very room and very clean. The staff is friendly and very good. The food is good. They give them choices each day of what they can get. There are all kinds of activities going on every day. When I was there, they were doing bingo and puzzles. They also have a small library section that has books and magazines."

"My father needed rehab after a fall at home. The therapy team was so great and brought him out of his shell he was able to regain his strength and return home! He enjoyed the staff said they were friendly and they were informative with us on any issues or concerns and updates. We got to see the skilled physician every week to ask questions and follow his care to make it patient focused. It was a great atmosphere and we were very pleased with the care!! "

"I would not place my mother in Betty Ann Nursing Center. My impression was very poor because of the atmosphere and the smell. They need to improve on overall cleanliness. The tour was kind of matter-of-fact, it wasn't a friendly environment, and it's like they didn't have time for me so I moved on. The facility was kind of old, and they need to do an overall remodel. "My father-in-law was at Nhc Healthcare, Joplin. You're not allowed inside the place, so you'd have to get to a window and wave and just kind of talk to them through a window. You're never able to get inside because of COVID. The facility looked fine. The outside looked good. He had Parkinson's so bad that he had hallucinations and he had dementia, so at times he didn't know who we were and he was sleeping a lot. Peeking through a window there's not a whole lot you can tell, but they did their job. If something happens to me, my wife is supposed to take me there, too. It felt like a rest home. It didn't have a locked community. You have isolation prior to going in there, so you don't get to visit nobody. You have the option of having your own private room, too. I think he received the care he needed."

"Spring River Christian village is a great place for senior citizens. I originally went there to visit a friend but have since been back a few times to volunteer. The staff is super nice but, I may be a little biased because I have friends who work their and they have great amenaties and the place is very spacious. The facility is also very clean, I visited in the rooms with some of the residents and the rooms seemed clean as well as the kitchen and the outdoor areas. The best thing about it is that the people I volunteered to work with were all very nice and they all seemed very happy to see me. The residents also seemed to enjoy living at Spring River Chistian Village. I would definetly recommend it to anyone looking for a retirement community thats friendly and well kept with lots of amenities and great food. "

"My mother was at Medicalodges Neosho. They got a lot of people and a lot of workers doing all kinds of different things. There is a lot to manage there when they have 90 residents in all different levels of what their care. Hats off to them because they can get it all done! My mother was there for two months in rehab. The first five days she was in a room with another lady, and they remained friends the rest of the time she was there. After the first five days, they moved her to a large single room. It is a private room, and it has a very nice lazy boy chair that I slept in for two months. They allowed me to come and go and be there with her. They had good food. They also gave them choices to pick from for their menus. It was all paid by Medicare so I didn't see a bill. Their physical therapist was excellent. Most of the help were cheery and helpful."

"McDonald County Living Center is close and clean. They have three meals a day, and the staff is very friendly but strict enough to make my mom do her exercise. They take her to doctors' appointments and have rehab, long-term, and an Alzheimer's unit. They could use more staff. "
