DayStay is an NC Licensed & Certified adult day care program located in Candler, easily accessible from Asheville, Enka and Canton. We provide a protective environment for those who are not capable of full time independent living. Our activity driven program provides socialization and personal care both for active seniors, as well as individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other conditions who cannot be left alone during the day. We are open weekdays from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and provide a nutritious lunch and morning and afternoon snacks. Daily services such as bathing, personal care, exercise, and reality orientation are blended with recreation and a range of activities for the individual and the group setting. When someone is enrolled in DayStay, we gain two clients - not just the Participant. DayStay serves the Caregiver as well as their loved one. Respite support for the caregiver and life enrichment for the participant is what makes DayStay an ideal solution for many families struggling with care for their loved one while managing their own complex daily lives. Respite care is a major service that is part of DayStay's mission.
