We're gonna take our mother to Retirement Ranch. It's decorated nicely, they're very clean and professional, and I liked that they took a lot of COVID precautions before you even went to the signup desk. The one lady I talked with was very professional and very kind. The rooms were very clean. They had private ones but you had to pay $500 extra for that. The shared room was very plain and basic. The individual room was very clean and they each come with a bed, bedsheets, and their own armoire. They don't want you to bring any furniture from home in. If you buy any furniture like a chair or anything like that, you have to deliver directly from the store because they don't want any germs coming in. The staff said they had activities to keep them active and engaged with other people. They've got an exercise room, a beauty salon and you can get your hair done once a week and that's included in the price and they've got a beautiful garden area outside with a koi pond. They've got 108 rooms and they are divided in half. One-half is on one side of the wing and the other half is on the other side of the wing. That place was beautiful. I have not tried a meal, but as we're taking the tour of the facility, we could smell some wonderful smells coming out of the kitchen.

My mom was a resident here for until her passing in 2009. When she passed I was told it was due to her Congestive Heart Failure. Just this week I learned it was actually due to an untreated UTI and critically low Sodium that caused her heart to stop. In short poor care by the ranch caused her demise. It is a beautiful facility with some wonderful, caring people there. However if you are over 1,100 miles away and can't hold their feet to the fire find someone local that can for you.

I visited Retirement Ranches in Clovis, New Mexico. The rooms were a bit crowded, but they had a nice visitors’ area for when the families of the residents came to visit. They can go to a room with a large-screen TV, a nice fireplace, and big windows with nice views; that’s what I really liked about it. They have a lot of recliners for the residents. The dining experience was really nice, and the food was good. The staff sounded knowledgeable. They have bingo and sometimes they sing while somebody plays the piano.

Retirement Ranches was really good. It's a regular nursing home, and they were really wonderful. My mother stayed there for four days, and she died there. It's a very nice place that was pretty well maintained. The staff was exceptionally caring and helpful. They actually bent over backwards for my mom moving in there, and basically the day she moved in, she turned for the worst. They were really understanding, compassionate, and really did a good job. Her room was not bad, which was for two people. My mom and dad moved in there, and they were in the same room. It was fairly clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing. We had hospice coming in too. They had lots of activities for people to participate in. The food was pretty good and well prepared.

Retirement Ranches was very good. They gave my mom very good care, and my dad, too. My father was there for a short time before he passed, and my mother was there for a short time before she passed. We were there with her the for last week, and they were just excellent, they treated her very, very well. The place has 2 sides. They have sides for people who were just there for assisted living, but the other side, which is where my parents were, was for the people who were very ill. They looked kind of like hospital rooms. They would bring us food without us even asking, and it was actually pretty good food. They had a nice dining room. They had all kinds of activities going on for anyone who was able to participate. They had storytelling. They had people coming in doing exercise classes. I think they may even have cards and crafts. The rooms were small but fine. They have some smaller rooms with books and big-screen TVs that people could go into. They have one big main room where they would sometimes have the exercise classes. There were TVs in their rooms. They had places where they could socialize. Their rooms were more like hospital rooms, but the more common areas where like a nice house. It was good.
