Heritage Village at Elizabeth

I live in Heritage Village in Elizabeth. It's for seniors 62 years old and over. The area is close to the stores and the Jersey Gardens mall. It's close to a senior center on Anna Street. We have a lot of seniors who go there. They also have four or five senior centers here in Elizabeth. They pick you up, and they bring you home. They go on trips, grocery shopping, and to Walmart. They are getting ready to take a trip to Kentucky for five days. We have about 15 apartments vacant right here in this building. I'm in a 1-bedroom apartment. It's kind of big for a 1-bedroom, but the 2-bedrooms are bigger. We have a washer and dryer on each floor, a sitting room on each floor, and the main floor. We have a lot of Spanish and Blacks here, and the area is alright. They have townhouses for seniors if a senior wants to move into a townhouse. We prepare our own food. We don't really have activity here. A lot of us go downstairs and play cards, and we sit outside and congregate among each other, but a lot of us just go to the senior centers. Sometimes the senior centers come here and give us bingo and lunch. The staff is very good.
