My father stayed at Edgewood for a long weekend (TH-MON). He had a nice room and bathroom with plenty of space. He said the food was good and there was a snack area that he could get snacks from. The environment was comfortable and home-like. Staff was very friendly and laid back- not a stressful environment at all. One of the residents wanted to help with things and he was helping the staff sort groceries and put them away. Another lady was watching a movie with a blanket over her legs. Another was having a coffee at the table. They were respectful of my Dad and worked with his memory issues- very patient. I like that it was so laid back and easy going. Dad will be returning for day care next week. I feel comfortable with the care he receives and with the respect he is treated with. I'm not sure of the activities, but I'm going to rate it 5 star. Two staff came up to me and asked me what my Dad enjoys doing. I have no doubt they make an effort to engage him on a regular basis.
