"I like Eagles Manor. They have people on staff 24/7 for extended help. They have a physical therapy room; they have a common area. They have housekeepers that come in. It’s very surreal. This facility is a 5-star place. Their dining room is very nice, very clean, very sociable, doesn’t smell. This place is very well kept. They have a lot of housekeepers on staff. It’s very close to the hospital, very accessible. They are right by Walmart and all those nice places that people want to go to. There are restaurants as well. "

"My mother was in Cooney Healthcare and Rehabilitation for rehab last month. They were willing to accommodate different levels of care as my mom improved, and communication was good. The therapists were outstanding. If they felt my mom was having a bad day, they would give me a call. The nursing staff was fabulous. They have a schedule that they post with different things and I found that the activities were all kind of similar. They have bands come in and they have music come in. They play bingo. They have a bus to different places if they want. They were a nice place for rehab. I was very pleased and would highly recommend them. When my mom was confused and exit seeking, they did have the ability to lock down the doors, for her safety. They had a wristband on her. And if she did try to get out, which she did as she progressed in her independence, she still would get confused. So we didn't want her to go outside. They had a way to keep her safe, they stayed close enough that she never had any falls or concerns like that. She received very high-quality rehab."

"My mom moved into Son Heaven Assisted Living. So far, she really likes it. I like that the assistant manager is extremely willing to help with any questions we have. If she doesn't make it to the dinner table, they'll bring the food to her room. Anytime she has a question, they fix the problem right away, so I haven't found a downside yet. The assistant manager is just right on top of things. One time I asked one of the workers where something was at, she just went and found it within less than 5 minutes. The only complaint my mom has is they feed her too much, and she likes all the food. Some of the carpets are a little bit old, but everything is nice and clean. There's bingo, crafts, they've got the bible study that comes in, haircutters come in, they have people that do the manicures and pedicures, and it seems like they always got something going on."

"Renaissance Senior Care was willing to take mom after the previous place had her admitted to behavioral health. The staff seemed to be very caring and responsive when we did our tour. The community was small and seemed very much like a home rather than an institution. She has her own room, her own furniture, and whatnot, so she doesn't have to deal with a roommate all the time. Those were some of the factors that we looked at to choose this one. I know that they have several locations there. When we were trying to visit her over the holidays, we used the Map app and ended up at the wrong location. This is the one up near the hospital area, a few blocks from St. Peter's Hospital. My mom moved in right after Thanksgiving. It's an assisted living facility. We would like to get her eventually into a memory care facility, but this is a good level of care for her for now. She hasn't been there very long, but I can say that the staff is very personable. She seems to like it there for the most part and they are very understanding of her challenges. I haven't interacted with the staff a lot since I'm here in Seattle, but the ones that I did meet seemed very friendly and professional, and know what they're doing. They seem to have activities available beyond just watching TV. They have various things going on throughout the week. I can't give a bullet list but I know she is not bored there. It's a very comfortable facility and it's equipped for what my mom needs. It has a very residential feeling but it still has the ramps, the walk-in tub, and other things that folks who are in an assisted living environment need. Of course, one would always like to pay less but we understand that senior living has a cost to it and this was one of the less expensive options. Even though we haven't gone to the point where we need to pay with Medicaid yet, they were amenable to doing that after she qualifies for it so that was a comfort to us."

"We toured Touchmark on Saddle Drive. They allow you to stay at their facility when you come to look at it. We were there for five days and four nights and we were not charged for our hotel. We also had all of our meals and they don't charge for those either. We were very impressed with Touchmark and its facility. It was very nice, it's very clean and it's well taken care of. We had several meals there and they were all very good."

"I like BeeHive Homes of Helena. It is not as clean as some of the places here, but I believe the staff members are very kind and very attentive, and that's the important thing for my mother. I think people are very well taken care of. I've seen my mother eat the food. I saw the menus and what the menus were going to be. I like the structure of the building because the rooms where the people stay in open out into the main living room and then the kitchen is right there beside the living room. The way it is designed is very well done and very effective for the elderly, especially because they get lost easily. I wish some of the assisted living places would be more sensitive to the needs of the residents. That's one of the reasons why we leave my mother there because she is comfortable with it and she doesn't feel lost there. They have activities. They have birthday parties, they have holiday parties, they take them shopping bus rides, and they take them on various tours. They do arts and crafts, too. I think the staff members are caring. I think they listen to the residents. They're attentive and knowledgeable. With the level of care and concern that they have for the residents and how they treat the families when they come to visit, they're very polite, so I appreciate that."

"My mom moved into Masonic Home of Montana two months ago. Everything so far -- the food, the staff, the facility itself, the room -- is great. The staff is excellent, and most of them have been there for several years. They are very caring and very good in all areas. So far, I have not encountered anything that will make it less than a five-star rating. "
