"My sister moved into the Discovery Care Center Discovery. She's happy there. It's very good. The staff is very caring, and they do their job. She has a suite. It's a two-room. She has a microwave and a little refrigerator. It's very nice and very clean. I know they do exercises, and they also take the residents outside on the days as the weather permits. It's not smoke filled. They take them outside quite often. They have all kinds of card playing, bingo, and some kind of a ball game that she says they do outside a lot. Almost every day she's busy doing something. They have painting, drawing, and all kinds of things like that. She said the food is very good. They're always coming around with snacks and different things."

"We toured BeeHive Homes of Hamilton for my parents. It was far too expensive, but it had a wonderful setup. It's a big circle with the dining room in the center. It was just beautiful, very modern, and very new. It was beautifully laid out. It was clean and well-staffed. They had a beautiful sitting area with a fireplace and they had a nice dining area where the kitchen was just really beautiful and modern and everybody could watch them cooking and talk with the cooks. It's just very family-friendly. The staff was very kind."

"The Living Centre looks well organized. The staff is very engaged, cooperative, and they seemed to work hard to accommodate anybody's distinct needs. My mom is a Celiac and can't do wheat. And we talked to the head chef and she was 100 percent on-board with providing for that kind of need. And other than that, the facility is somewhat plain, but it is still more than adequate. The staff is highly engaged and responsive to our requests for information and their cooperation is excellent. It's just an older facility and the upkeep is fine. It's clean and looks to be well maintained."

"Kathy's Place Personal Care Home was very clean. They had a lot of outdoor seating areas for the residents to gather. They also had chickens and they eat a lot of organic food. There were just a lot of older people that were further along than my husband, so I didn't think it would be a very good fit at the moment. Other than that, it was fine. Everybody was friendly and the rooms were decent. It was kind of an older home, but I liked that it was small and there were only 10 residents there. There were 6 private rooms and the rest were shared. The gal that gave me the tour was the administrator. She lived above the facility,(she and her husband) who is a registered nurse, and they were also nice. Her son has actually done some remodeling on it, but the ceilings were just low."
