"Anderson at Summerfield Memory Care is super nice. Each resident has a good-sized, private room, and they have really good activities for the residents. They do a very good job with their residents, are very interactive, do stuff with them all the time, and try to accommodate them once they learn their personalities to make them happy. Even with Alzheimer's, they are very happy people. Some of them are absolutely hilarious. I think my father-in-law is in the best possible place that anybody could ever hope for, and we're really thankful for that. I think all of these people are doing a really good job in trying their very best. "

"My mom went to Summerfield Retirement Community. The place itself is nice, and there are a lot of activities. The meals were set out nice for her, and we just like it there. They have a lot of amenities and activities all day during the day. They have exercises classes, they play music -- and play the harp and piano -- and they take them on outings on the bus, so there are a lot of things. My mother loves the food, and if you go to Summerfield, you really feel like you're at a resort. My sister and I call it a beach house. "

"My grandmother attends this facility. I have been to visit this women many of times. The cost of livings is fairly cheap under 7k a year. Grammy says its the best place on earth, and that she could imagine a better place to retire. The facility is quite amazing, the grounds are large and since its close to a local school, there are all-ways planned visits. Grammy enjoys the comfort of the rooms, and the fun games they entertain. The only bad thing about this place, like every place like this, is the food. Grammy always complains about how bad the food is, so i try to sneak her a bite or two or normal food. Over all this facility is great, and Grammy loves it and intends to spend the rest of her life there. Woodland is a place to be if your looking for both comfort, and reliability. Grammy loves it! "

"My mom is in rehab right now at Greenbriar Community Care Center. It's very nice and clean. They're friendly, and I'm very happy with it. The staff is very obliging. Everybody is very helpful. I have no complaints. The food is very good, and I'm very happy with it. I'm happy with everything there. The only thing she does is rehab, and she's starting to enjoy that."

"Oak Park Village at Slidell was nice. They showed me the place thoroughly. There was a room there that was vacant, and they gave me a look at that as an example. It was a one-bedroom. The staff was nice. They're very pleasant people. There was a room where they had activities."

"I am a Christian and every word I say about Guest house is the truth. Regret terribly choosing Guest House for my sweet Father to go into for in house physical therapy for his legs and admission thereafter. My Father needed help getting from the wheelchair to the toilet and most of the time he would ask for help and was ignored. I helped him when I was visiting him because no one came for 30 minutes. This place was worst then prison. My Dad loved to be outside, but the woman who was in charge of Guest House would not let him go outside with other patients because she thought he would take off in the wheelchair and call a taxi with no money. Unbelievable! They take out smokers a couple of times a day, but would not take out my Father not one time. Disgusting, non-caring ethics! She lied to my Sister Donna and I and said she would have someone take him out 15 minutes once a day. She didn't make good on her promise not one time. I knew my Dad would not make a year in that miserable place and he didn't. Passed away approximately 6 months later. "

"I stayed at Trinity Neurologic Rehabilitation Center for a while in the rehabilitation. The activity section is very good; it keeps you very busy with creative stuff, nice outings, and trips outside. The rooms were kept very clean and neat in a friendly environment. The food is descent. They have a beautiful open area in the middle of the building with trees, and some of the residents do gardening and grow tomatoes and eggplant. They do arts and crafts, and the residents paint. Every couple of months, they will take us to the casino or an ice cream social, and they have transportation. "

"The staff is very friendly and the ground are always kept very nice. All request are handled promptly and professionaly by a very professional staff. "

"It was like a 5-star hotel. I would want to live there myself. They assisted me perfectly; they were very pleasant, kind, courteous, and attentive. They have activities all day long with guests, entertainment, and singers. They go shopping, and they go to the casino, and restaurants. "

"My mom was at Dunbar Village for rehab last year. She seemed to have a high opinion of the staff, being friendly and helpful. The gym that they had for rehab was basic; it wasn't that fantastic. They got the people gather for community type of stuff, like on holidays and all that. They made it a big deal about decorating the place, and she enjoyed that. Overall, she said it was a friendly and good experience. I never really got to go in, but when we visited her, they had a front lobby as a visiting area due to COVID. She was on the ground floor, so you could go in, look in and wave to her. The room looked nice. The place looked clean and neat, too. It was in a relaxing area and not an overly busy main street. There was greenery around, they kept the outside lawn manicured, just a neighborhood kind of thing. She loved the food. She said breakfast wasn't that much, but lunch and dinner were normally outstanding."

"Lacombe Nursing Center is a smaller facility and a little bit more personal, so I think it was an advantage. I work with teenagers in high school and we had gone there to do some service with them. When we were there, they got the residents up in the morning and they gather into a recreation area. There seems to be a lot of attention with the residents. It's in a nice location, but a little bit farther away from home. I do have some acquaintances there before. One of my friends' mom and dad were there and they don't really have any negative thing to say about them. "

"I toured and I liked their programs and entertainment. They had social events and they were having a little concert while I was there. The staff was very nice. The dining area seemed to be a central facility, but the building was multistory. The elevators, I didn't know if that was a good idea for seniors. This place wasn't as aesthetically pleasing. The residents seemed happy while they were watching the concert."

"We're on their waiting list. We toured both assisted living and memory care. I like everyone there. The whole staff greeted us upon arrival, whether it was walking in the front door or walking down the hall. It was very warm and welcoming. The entire place was very light and airy. The windows were almost like floor to ceiling. It's very lightly colored, so it felt very spacious. It did not feel institutional. It's a little homey. We had lunch there, and it was delicious. It was lasagna."
