I visited this facility

Traditions of Owatonna 2 had a memory unit and an assisted living unit that were side by side buildings. Then there's two hallways that go between the two. In the center was a courtyard that had a fountain, flowers, and bird feeders. That was a secure area. So if someone wanted to go sit outside, they could go out there. They had a family room available in case you got guests and wanted to have a little party or something. It's laid out in a circle. The offices were in the center and the outside edges were the rooms. The person that gave the tour was very, very nice, well spoken, and explained everything. He's great.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband is now at Traditions of Owatonna. It is satisfactory. It seems to be clean, and they are treating the COVID thing OK. My husband is in assisted living, but he needs a lot of help. I haven't tried the food. I don't know anything about the activities, and of course, we're not allowed to get in the room so I can't see how clean it is. The staff is pleasant and seems to be cooperative.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My wife moved in to Traditions II, and it's OK so far. They have all kinds of different things for the residents to do, and they have musicians that come in once a week. I can take her out anytime I want for dinner, so the living environment fits her. The apartments are nice and she has her own TV and phone. All the staff members are real nice.

Traditions is where my Dad has chosen to live out his days. He enjoys outings with Malen, especially the Twins Games. They give him much larger meals than what he can finish but Dad has never been a big eater. The trips to the movie theatre and walmart keep him heading into town every week. Thank you Traditions for taking such great care of my Dad.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Our mother was in this facility, I wish we had never put her in traditions 2. When she fell they left her lay on the floor of her room for at least 7hrs untill finally the realized at 2:00 am that she might need medical assistance and we were called. My mom had also hit her head when she fell causing a brain hemmorage, which later caused her death. This is no place for your mom or dad

I visited this facility

I took a quick tour of Traditions of Owatonna and saw that the rooms were large. They had a community room as well as a chapel. The staff members that I met were very friendly.

I am a friend or relative of resident

The staff at this facility are wonderful. They helped me through the entire process of getting my mother on medicaid and into her new home. Over the last 6 months she's adjusted well to her new home and is happy to be there.
