The people at Grand Village are very kind and very communicative. It makes you feel at home. The nurses and the staff greet you when you walk in the door. They are just cheerful and positive. They provide so many services, different kinds of therapies, and care. My husband has accepted the time he's been there, and it has been very positive. It was a very smooth transition. The facility is really nice. It is modern and very tastefully decorated in an up north kind of decor. He is in a single room, and it's nice and roomy. We can bring things from home and make it personal to him. It has big windows and cheerful sunshine from the South coming in. There are bird feeders through the window to watch and a nice adjoining bathroom. The food is really good. You get lots of choices. Every meal has at least two choices, and breakfast is like being at a restaurant. You can order anything. If you don't like any of the choices, they will make you a sandwich, a hamburger, or a salad. There is always a bowl of fruit available. If you're hungry before bed, they'll make you a quick sandwich. The chef does a great job. He has wonderful meat and potato meals. Sometimes they have Mexican meals or fish. There are lots of soup and snacks. My husband is a picky eater, so for him to like it, that tells you it's good. It's not the most expensive place in the area, but it's not the cheapest. I think it's affordable.
