My brother is in assisted living at Care Cardinal - Macatawa. The staff is friendly, outgoing, and very helpful. It's kind of family-oriented. I know on Friday they take them to some kind of a senior center where they play bingo and stuff like that if they want to go.

I toured Care Cardinal - Macatawa. It seemed like a very homey atmosphere. The staff was fine. She was cordial. The facility seemed very clean. It was kind of like a central living area with a fireplace and television and a lot of nice seating. They did have a lot of outdoor seating. The living room has a nice and cozy atmosphere.

The house itself is nice. The residents can be a bit overwhelming and don't know how to respect boundaries. The majority of aides are nice. Time of medications needs work. Also make sure you get a clear understanding of the house rules. You lose your independence and individuality in this home. The setting is nice but take your time in making a decision about living here or anywhere if you are able to take that time.

I toured the Care Cardinal - Macatawa. It's assisted living and the staff was very helpful, everything seemed very acceptable, and the location was nice and not too far away from a local hospital. Everything's cleaned well but the rooms were a bit on the small side. I don't know if it's the same thing with the others because that was the first place I visited.

My Dad has had a difficult time getting old and not being as independent as he is used to being. The supervising staff have always looked out for dad and tried to help him enjoy his new home. Since I live thousands of miles away I've been very thankful for them. During my visits the residents and staff have been kind.

Care Cardinal Macatawa was updating everything when I was there. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and very caring. The layout was fine. It's just they were updating things. The rooms seemed fairly clean. It's a little bit different setup than the other facility, but the people seemed happy. They were enjoying each other's companionship. The outdoor space was very nice. Getting to the location would have been easy for the family. It's in a good and nice area.
