My wife will be moving into Lakeshore Woods. It's a nice location. It's convenient. There are multiple levels of care there. The rooms we saw were private and open. They showed us a menu of the activities and the food service. However, there were parts of the buildings that were older.

Mom has been residing there for two months as of this review. There is no direct supervision chain, every request is submitted to the RN: there is no shift manager so no one person is responsible if tasks such as bathing or laundry are completed. Additionally, my mothers clothes are disapearing, she's been given pants that are too large for her and alot of her nice tops are missing. As with any facility, some of the staff are energized and involved, and others are "putting in their hours". My biggest complaint over these past two months is there is no accountability. Currently, they do not have a "chef" as stated on the website. Overall, I'm disappointed with this facility for the price we are paying.

Lakeshore Woods is more expensive than most places, but it's very clean, and there's an apartment where my mom can have her own furniture. It's very nice. The staff were very accommodating. We were not looking for a nursing home, but we were looking for an assisted living apartment where she could have her own things, and that's what we were able to find there, and everything is included. The apartment got a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator and a microwave. It has a living room with windows out onto the courtyard or the woods. It also has a bedroom and a large bathroom with a shower. The person who assisted me was wonderful. Food is all included, and the dining area was very nice and clean. There were a lot of residents around and they all seemed in good spirits. They were playing cards. Everything was excellent.

My mom is at Lakeshore Woods, and it's been pretty good. It's got a couple of courtyards. You can get rooms that look out onto the courtyards. That's not what we picked, though. We picked the larger room. They do activities every day, so it's been really good. There's been some problems with the staff. The food is really good. They have exercises every day at 11 o'clock, and then there's something else every day at 10:00. It might be a prayer group or coffee talk; it's different all the time. Then there's another activity too, where they might bake cookies or they might play bingo. It varies. I'd say it's good value for the money.

I saw Lake Huron Woods. It was a nice community, but my mom was in a wheelchair, and it was kind of tight quarters for a wheelchair, and they didn't have things lowered either. The staff was very friendly. It was clean and well maintained.

My mom has lived at Lake Huron Woods for almost 3 years and she loves it here. She loves the activities, the food and the staff. Everyone is so thoughtful and caring. She says it is like living on a cruise ship. She loves the buffets!

I visit my Aunt (who has been a resident at Lake Huron Woods for about 5 years) at least four times a month. My Aunt has loved living at LHW and suggestes to everyone she meets to move in! She participates in many daily community activities and enjoys going down daily for her meals in the dining room. She says the meals are always delicious and is happy she doesn't have to cook for herself anymore. She has made many new friends and made lots of memories during the past 5 years!! She is definitely living her BEST LIFE and ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE OF IT! The entire staff goes above and beyond and is always available if or when needed. We are truly blessed to have Lisa, Lori and Diane working in the front office. The entire community is beautiful including my Aunts apartment-it really is spacious! We love knowing my Aunt can stay in her home and age-in place - If needed LHW has a on-site 24 hour medical team.

The manager in incompetent and rude. It’s very sad because the staff is wonderful! Housekeeping is great, most of kitchen staff, except the one cook, krista? Her food is often times, inedible. The activities director is a god send and wonderful with the residents. Diane is not a people person, therefore should not be managing people, especially the elderly. She’s never out of her office, doesn’t know her people, and treats the medical staff like they’re garbage. Very unimpressed and borderline furious with her performance thus far

Lake Huron Woods is very nice, quiet, and very peaceful. I like the location. Inside, it is quite beautiful. The dining room looks like a beautiful 4-star restaurant. It was my birthday when I went there and the chef made me a lemon meringue pie to take home, which was really nice.

I visited both apartments and cottages at Lake Huron Woods, and I really liked the feeling of the place. The meal I had with them was excellent. The only drawback is that at 75, I would be the youngest person. They have been very accommodating to find me exactly the type of place I want to stay, and that's why I'm moving there. There are lots of places to do things, and they have lots of activities every day. They have a barber shop and a beauty salon. You can do your own laundry or have them do it. What's really neat is if you're in an apartment at Lake Huron Woods, they have storage areas on each floor, for seasonal things like Christmas trees.

My friend is here and loves it. They are all extremely friendly and helpful with her. They went out of their way to help us and get things straightened out. She has made friends, is happy, and doesn’t need anything. They have movies, nature walks, get togethers, and live music once a month. They can get three meals, but she opted to just get dinner. They provide snacks on special events but most of the time she has her own snacks.

Lake Huron Woods was what I thought it would be. It catered to seniors with meals, but I didn't need that. The apartment was perfect for what I needed. They had a package to rent the apartment for less money and not be tied in to all the other expenses because it was really expensive. It was way out of my budget. The staff was very informative and very friendly. The people that I met while we were walking through the facility were all very polite. They had an exercise room and laundry services I could use or they would do it for me for a fee. They handed me a break down of everything. I could choose just to rent the apartment. If you didn't want to clean your house, they would come and clean your house for a fee.

It was great, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff was wonderful. There was so much to do. The apartments' bathrooms and showers were handicapped accessible. It was perfect. They had an on-site restaurant and shop. This is the one my parents would choose. They have exercise class, all kinds of cards, a big theater, and TV room, and they do parties. It was fantastic and had everything that we were looking for. It was really nice.

We went to Lake Huron. It was very well-kept and very friendly. The residents were very happy. We liked the grounds. I thought it was very nice. They took them to local shopping malls, played cards, and had a little library and TV room for movies. There were multiple things for them to do. They served dinner. The staff was excellent, answered all my questions, and gave me information. They showed me a one-bedroom and a studio apartment with plenty of room. They provided transportation to doctors' appointments if they were local.

It was very nice and clean. We had lunch there, and the food was good. The staff was fine. There was a little library, and a lot of different activities were going on like bingo and stuff.

I don't know very much about it yet. I've seen it, and I visited a lady in her apartment; that looked alright. The only thing I remember about it is the kitchen which had shelves space in it. I wouldn't want it, but it is alright with her. I wouldn't be contented because of the size of the room.
